Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, who were they?" Artemis asks with a sweet smile.

 

Sgavrinn pauses.
"I... can't remember? I know I thought they were just human for a while, then he showed up one dream all furry and scary looking."

 

Artemis thinks for a moment.

"Did they look like a particular animal?" Artemis asks.

 

Sgavrinn pauses.
"I... can't remember? Dreams are hard..." He whines.

 

Artemis just hugs Sgavrinn again.

"It's ok, I'm glad you're safe." Artemis says happily.

 

He hums happily, though trails off quickly.
"I'm glad to be home too, but... come to think of it, Emerald asked me where Ragnyon was when I came back. Did you see her since we went exploring?"

 

"I haven't seen her a while, sorry." Artemis says apologetically.

 

"Oh... maybe I shouldn't have left her." He replies, mood dampening.


Sivius approaches the palace gates.
"Has milady returned?" He asks, stoic.

 

Artemis lightly pets Sgavrinn, trying to cheer him up.

A black cat wanders nearer to Sgavrinn, laying down in the grass and watching.


"Not yet. She's still with her form." One of the guards at the gates responds, equally stoic.

 

Sgavrinn curls around Artemis, uneasy but content.


Sivius nods.
"Would you mind relaying a message to her as soon as she returns?"

 

Artemis keeps petting Sgavrinn happily, though the black cat runs and jumps up on Sgavrinn and meows at her; wanting attention.



"What's your message?" The guard asks, a slight harshness to his voice.

 

Sgavrinn tries to nuzzle the cat.


"The stars relayed to me that she thinks all shadows from my reality are weak. I simply wanted to inform her that I am both a shadow and not particularly weak."

 

The cat moves away from Sgavrinn's head, looking spooked.


"You don't look like a Shadow." The guard comments.

 

Sgavrinn slowly lays back down, looking dejected.


“Not refuting that.”

 

The cat jumps onto Artemis' shoulder, nuzzling her. Artemis laughs a bit.

"Onyx, what's got into you?" Artemis asks, scratching Onyx's head lightly. Onyx purrs in response happily.


"I'll tell her." The guard says, crossing his arms.

 

Sgavrinn sniffs at Onyx before humming quietly.


“I apreciate it.” Sivius nods, glancing around before leaving, then attempting to enter the Realm of Light.

 

"Well, I want to go and look for some bluffs. So anyone who knows where to find some is welcome to join."

 

“Bluffs?” The lioness asks, glancing at the hawk.
“There’s one, between here and the ocean to the northwest. That’s about it.”

 

Onyx smells like fish, meaty cat food and a little bit like blood. She rests on Artemis' shoulder, tail waving slowly.


Sivius can't seem to access the Realm of Light, feeling blocked by something.

 

Sgavrinn lays his head down, seeming weary but wide awake.


He tries to trace the block, curious.
