Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Yeah, you don't eat meat, right?"

 

“No, I don’t. You remember fairly well.”

 

"Can I go back with you to see Praecantatia after this? I wanted to ask her a few things." Shadow Stephanie asks.

"Of course," Stephanie nods, "It's nice having you around again."

Shadow Stephanie smiles, feeling complimented.


Katie launches herself onto Xlentia's back with a jet of water, walking closer to her head before sitting down.

 

"Okay, good. Can you actually fly though? Cause all I've seen you do is dig and walk."

 

Stella smiles a bit.
“I provided her with an uplink. I could see if I can connect you to her now, if you would like?” She offers.


Xlentia gets up and romps to the library.
“Emerald, I’m leaving have fuuuun!”
“Where are you-“
“Gaia! Bye!”

“I... can’t? I haven’t tried in a while.”

 

"Sure, you could give it a shot." Shadow Stephanie says.


Katie tries to wave to Emerald from Xlentia's back, smiling.

 

“Alright, attempting to form a connection... there seems to be a 50 millisecond delay. I hope that’s acceptable.”

The core Pozel gave Praecantatia starts flashing.


Emerald just facepalms as Xlentia romps off, soon gliding through a portal and circling Earth.

 

Meanwhile, I decide to make my way from the Void Palace library to the portal room.

 

You come just in time to see Xlentia running out through a portal.

 

Praecantatia takes it off of her shelf, examining it cautiously.


"Oh. My Gaia has been insulting you?" Katie asks, surprised.

 

I don’t mind her, continuing along to do my own thing.

 

It opens into a holographic projection of Stella.
“Lady Praecantatia, forgive my intrusion, but I have two people hoping to communicate with you. I told them I would attempt to connect with you. Would you be okay if I let the link go through from a Stephanie and Shadow Stephanie?”


“Yeah, that, except not really. I thought she did, though. I forget there’s two.”

 

"Oh, certainly!" Praecantatia says, smiling as she takes the core through to her computer room.


"Well, it'd be really nice to see her!" Katie says happily.

 

Emerald lets out a sigh as you approach.
“Can I help you?”

Stella nods.
“Is a 50 millisecond connection delay tolerable?” Stella asks, a display of the room the two Stephanies are in appearing beside her.


“Any idea where she stays?”

 

“I was just on my way to the portal room. What was that about?”

 

"If you can't, we can have the Leviathan take you to the island."

 

“No idea.” Emerald admits.

“Well, I’ll just take that ride, then.”

 

I smile.
“Well, I’m off. See you around.”
I turn and start making my way to the portal room.

 

"That's fine." Praecantatia says, putting the core next to a receiver of sorts that tries to analyse the signals being sent and received by the core.


"In her garden I think, but I don't know where that is. I think it might be a different realm altogether." Katie says.

 

“Safe travels.” She says, heading back in the library.

The portal room seems to be set to open to one big yellow portal.
