Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Do they still kill people, at least?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Some do, some don't."

 

Shadow Stephanie tries to hold back a snort, but fails.

"I didn't realise your reality had such wuss Shadows." Shadow Stephanie says, amused as she tries to help Stephanie feel better.

 

"It's hard for a tree to kill someone." Lex shrugs. "Fallen gods, not so much."

 

"You bet."
He starts heading into the streets, searching for the fire elementals. Can't be too hard.

 

The fire station is practically glowing, extremely easy to find.

 

"A tree?" Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"Shadows can be things, plants, buildings."

 

"Seriously!?" Shadow Stephanie asks, unable to hold back her laughter anymore.

 

He goes towards the fire station and searching for nearby fire elementals.

 

"Yes. Have you never been to the Void?"

There are several, one of them looking at you silently.

 

"I have, many times." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"It's hard to miss shadow structures, especially in the palace of The Great Destroyer."

 

"What are they, then?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Pillars, paintings, carvings. Have you really not noticed?"

 

"No, they sound like pretty useless Shadows though." Shadow Stephanie says, Stephanie letting go of her and smiling.

"Thanks for coming, Stephanie." Stephanie says.

"I could tell something was wrong. Where are we, anyway?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"An arkship worth more than whatever planet either of you hail from, maybe combined. Planetary masses are calculated based on averages, anyways." Lex says, putting his mask back on as someone else enters the mess hall and sits closer to the kitchen.

 

"What are you doing here?" Shadow Stephanie asks Stephanie.

"Mother brought me here, and she wanted me to stay to record what their technologies are like. I-It's scary being on your own here, though." Stephanie says.

"I know, I know. I'm here now though, so we can go kill people like old times!" Shadow Stephanie says happily.

"These people seem nice...please don't kill them." Stephanie says, a slight seriousness in her voice.

 

"Idhaenna is right outside to relieve you of your soul, should you do such a thing. Again, you're late to the party with me." Lex warns.

 

He just looks back, not moving a muscle. He gives a genuine smile.
