Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie decides to summon a black voodoo doll, hugging it as she waits.

 

He tosses the ball back into the portal, the ball itself disappearing once’s the bird descends a lot.

 

"Ehm. I wouldn't know. Sgavrinn usually grows a flower to wake me up."

 

Once the timer hits zero, the food Stephanie requested is brought on a plate from the back by another fur-kobold that wears an expressionless mask. They simply rush over, leave the plate on the table, and leave.

"Oh... the lava creatures!"

It flutters away, Voidfiller now left undisturbed from the outside.

 

Stephanie seems a little surprised, quickly desummoning the doll before looking at the food presented.

 

"Eh... leave the way, I guess."

 

He closes the portal, going back to doing his own thing.

 

It’s her pizza, exactly as she asked for.

“I mean, I’m sure you can find one of them. They’re all glowy and stuff. I have other tours.”

 

Stephanie lifts up her helmet to give access to her mouth, before taking a slice of pizza and eating it; slicing it into eighths with her sword if it isn't cut up already.

 

"So what do I do when I find them? Ask them about the flowers?"

 

“They’re made of lava. You don’t look immune.”

It is already cut, the fur-kobold running by and leaving her a glass of water.
They seem to have mechanical attachments to their legs, making every step count for three.

 

"Th-Thank you." Stephanie tries to say as she swallows a bite of pizza, trying to hold herself together.

 

"Then what do I do?"

 

They turn to her and nod, but keep moving.

“Hug it.”

 

"Hug the fire element? Right.."

 

Stephanie just eats her pizza, trying to not make eye contact with anyone and attempting to look inconspicuous.

 

“I mean, you could also try and find a poison plant.”

The screen that used to show the timer flashes once, then shows a message.
“Don’t be nervous. We all make mistakes.”

 

Stephanie seems to become more nervous, looking around worriedly as she tries to keep eating.

 

The fur-kobold with the mask meets her gaze, waving once.
“It’s just me. Don’t worry. Well... not like telling you that will help.”

 

Stephanie finishes her slice of pizza and resummons her black voodoo doll, holding it tight as she tries her hardest to keep it together.
