Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Lenka shuts down the hologram he was working with in the control room.
“I’m heading out. You can either follow me for the tour, or head somewhere else and go home. I’m sorry to be blunt, but things clearly aren’t fine with you.”

 

“What.”
“It’s about time you went home.”
Voidfiller dangles a bag in front of him, which jingles.
“No, no, no, now is definitely not the time for leaving.”

 

Stephanie walks over to Lenka, ready for the tour.

 

"Yeah, then I told you Sgavrinn was already touching them and you told us not to worry cause nothing was happening at the moment."

 

“Then what time is it?”

“I told you not to worry because I thought he didn’t touch them!”

He nods.
“Next, the reactors. You aren’t sensitive to sunlight, are you?”

 

Stephanie shakes her head.

 

“Then you should be fine walking near the artificial stars. This way.” Lenka says, heading back down the hall.

 

Stephanie follows obediently.

 

Stephanie can see Idhaenna waiting outside the ship, seeming bored as she fiddles around with what looks like a model solar system.

“Bunks for crew below, engineering bay above. Care to look at those?”

 

Stephanie nods, looking toward Idhaenna.

 

She looks at the planets before seeming to get irritated and crushing one in her talon, scattering the remaining dust towards the model sun.
“Which one first?”

 

"The engineering bay sounds interesting." Stephanie says quietly, almost timidly.

 

“...Something wrong?” Lenka asks, opening a hatch.

 

"No. It's fine." Stephanie says, following.

 

“You’re really worrying me, miss.” Lenka sighs, holding a hatch to another hall open.

 

Stephanie heads through the hatch, looking around.

 

It seems identical to the hall below, though there are four doors on each side of the hall.

 

Stephanie waits to be guided patiently.

 

Lenka heads to the third door on the left.
“Here, she shouldn’t be too busy.”

The fur-kobold Stephanie delimbed stands inside, working on what appears from a distance to be nothing.
“Hey, sis, guest wanted to see you work.”
“‘s long as she’s fine with waiting on seeing how I work.” She grumbles, seeming to solder something.

 

“Whu-... I...”
The boy seems flustered.
“Oop, looks like it’s bedtime.”
Voidfiller says, looking at his newly-made watch.
“If I don’t get you home, your mama’s gonna be worried about you.”
He jokes, standing up.
“Shut up!”
