"She can, it doesn't hinder her speech." Praecantatia says.

Her necklace starts flashing a little more furiously.

"I really must leave now." Praecantatia adds.

 

Idhaenna tosses Praecantatia a core.
“Take this home. You can still meet Stella. Go.”

“I... thought I went on another tour.”

“So, stay inside and everything’ll be okay.”

 

Praecantatia taps her necklace, disappearing. Oddly, so does Stephanie's book.

 

Idhaenna sighs, trying to link with Stephanie.

 

"I believe you did after telling us?"

 

She can't form a connection, the armour likely protecting against psychic power.

 

"Well, if I told you not to, why did he?"

Idhaenna rolls her eyes.


Lenka glances at Stephanie.
"Idhaenna says you can talk?"

 

Stephanie nods, though remains silent.

 

"I don't mean to be pushy, but I was told we can't finish the tour if you don't at least speak. Does it hurt?"

 

Stephanie's grip on her blade tightens.

 

Lenka steps back.
“Look, I don’t know who hurt you, but it wasn’t us.”

 

Stephanie just stays where she is, stance intimidating.

 

"You told us not to worry!"

 

Lenka glances over off to the side and mumbles something, becoming a bit annoyed.

“I told you not to touch the thorns!”

 

Stephanie walks over to Lenka.

"Got something to say?" Stephanie asks sternly.

 

Lenka nods.
“What do you have against us?”

 

Stephanie just sighs, shaking her head.

 

“Then would you mind relaxing? You’ve thrown half my crew off task worrying about you lashing out at them!” He outbursts, frustrated as he grabs his antenna.

 

Stephanie sheathes her sword to cross her arms.

 

Lenka sighs.
“I’m sorry, I’m not used to having eight people having panic attacks at once.”
