"It's a small blessing of mine, it can store twice the magic of a pure mage crystal, usable only by whom I gift it to." Praecantatia explains.

Praecantatia takes out a small vial filled with green liquid and drinks it. To others, Praecantatia's movements seem to speed up fourfold, though to Praecantatia, everything begins to move a lot slower. Praecantatia watches things move slower, trying to keep track of what's happening.

 

"What's a pure mage crystal?"

Holograms appearing and disappearing seems to still be too fast to track, but she can see that they're relaying various messages.
"Additional gold nanoweave needed in B-block."
"Running out myself, sending over every bit of excess based on quota."
"Next shipment due in ten minutes, what's the rate of input output?"
"7.68% increase."
"I'll tell the replicant factory to surge us, the pile's getting pretty small."
"Consider it done. Anything else stretched thin?"
"This is medbay 195-C. We're full, and the other bays report a total of 496 more consoles."
"Singularity-AS04 reporting in. Can you hold out another four hours or do we need to load our fighters with cryopods and send them ahead?"
"We're only due to make it another two."
"Noted. I'll have your supervisor send over the exact numbers."
"Appreciate it. Lust, those are ready, aren't they?"
"Yeah, I have them."
"Hey, one of the pilots is awake."
"Tyraki'n, we weren't given nanomasks, fix that."
"On it."
"That's another one done. Are we on pace?"
"Three mechs ahead if we keep this up. Roll it!"
"Grab another bodybag, there's a do not digitize on one who took on a few too many holes."
"I'll grab that with a couple nanomasks."
"Redouble your pace, E-block is seven mechs behind."
"Will do."
"How much longer 'til shift end, boss?"
"You've got half an hour and ten of break. You need to duck out?"
"Nah, just wondering. Left my uplink at home."
"Keep up the good work."
"Lunar-AS2502 reporting in, we're full. AS2503 will be here in fifteen minutes."
"Noted, we'll make sure the ports are ready."

...All these messages flying within the span of three seconds, only looking at a handful of workers.
The other holograms seem to be maps, pieces of data/bits of information, blueprints, schedules, and so on.

 

"Amagecrystalcapableofholdinganextremelylargeamountofmagicatoncethemostpowerfulformofmagecrystalthereis." Praecantatia says in half a second.

Praecantatia tries to track some of the messages to find their owners, looking for people sending them.

 

"But what is a mage crystal?" They ask, managing to match pace of speech so it sounds normal.

She can't handily track any of them, but considering the rate that they go in and out, and the fact that they're just about everywhere, it's clear there's a way to decide who to send them to.

 

"Ohofcourseyourrealitydoesn'thavethemitsacrystalthatcanstoremagicorchargedwithaspell,ifyouweretochargeitwithafirespellforexampleitwouldkeepburning." Praecantatia says quickly.

Praecantatia gives up, taking out a yellow vial and drinking it within a second, before her movements slow considerably to normal speed.

 

The dizzying pace from before returns.
Whatever system it is, it’s working absurdly effectively.

“Ah, would you by chance have any extras we could study?”

 

"Where you going?"
He follows him with his head.

 

He shrugs, still moving.

 

"Does it have something to do with me telling you you can't eat the plants?"

 

Praecantatia takes out another albeit much smaller mage crystal, carving runes into it before offering it.

 

He shakes his head.

They take it, pocketing it.
"I appreciate it, visitor. I hope your tour goes smoothly." They half-bow, glancing at a hologram and taking off into the crowd.

 

"Do your feet hurt from the thorns?"

 

He nods, but then turns out of sight again.

 

"Okay. You might want to get out of the garden then."

 

You don't get an audible response.

 

He decides to follow him. Trying to keep a distance.

 

Praecantatia glances around for anything else of interest.

 

There's some exposed thorns in the ground, and the occasional drops of blood.

There's too many people to see anything from the ground, but there's what seems to be a group of spirits and ethereal equipment working on other mechs from above.

 

Praecantatia levitates herself up to the spirits, observing their equipment and how it interacts with the physical plane.

 

As she passes through entirely, it would seem it doesn't. It's an entirely different set of mechs, it appears.
