"Certainly. It was extremely pleasant to visit you again, Xlentia." Gaia says, getting off and lowering her hand for Alex, who climbs out of his dirt mound and onto Gaia's palm.

 

“It is.” They shrug.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t make the sightseeing pleasant. Stay safe, Emerald says having a friend my own size is good for me.”

 

"I have my children in my gardens, and the sightseeing was pleasant enough." Gaia says, smiling before tapping her necklace; disappearing with Alex in a flash.

 

Xlentia sighs, heading back to her chambers.


Meanwhile, Stella scans open internet hotspots for anyone who might be willing to open a voice-only communication line.

 

Nobody seems to be willing to, though there seems to be a site Stella can reach which appears to be about random encounters on the internet.

 

She scans it for stories, then looks for any necessary accounts to use it, or other "basic" things on the internet.

 

It seems the only way to use it is by making an account; the rest of the internet seems to be filled with mostly cat videos and memes.

 

She makes an account suspiciously fast, quickly able to bypass most security protocol as she tries to scan the site.

 

It has over a million registered users, and twenty thousand of them seem to be active at the moment. It appears to have been running for the past 8 human years, too.

 

Stella looks for a way to open a private message or chat with someone, scanning the purpose of the site and its source code while she looks for someone willing to talk.

 

The site seems to match Stella up with someone immediately, their voice coming through in low quality; most likely due to their mic.

"Yo yo." The stranger says.

 

“Hello, how are you?” She asks.

 

"Doin' fine. What's the haps with you girl?" The stranger asks.

 

“I’m a bit new. Trying to figure out this whole internet thing.” Stella responds.

 

"Oh, you should be careful on here. You never know if you're gonna find a dude with a webcam with his dick out." The stranger warns.

 

“Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve seen a lot, though, I’m not too worried. I assume there are a few hackers around too, then?”

 

"A few, they're not common though. Just don't give out your password and all that other stuff school crams down your throat." The stranger says.

 

“I, uh... have a bit of a confession, if you’re willing to hear me out.”

 

"What, are you a furry or something? I don't really care, I've met tons of closet furries on here." The stranger says.

 

“No, I’m not human. Or on Earth.”
