Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“That seems silly.”

 

Gaia can see a pink crystal golem, an earth guardian bowing, and Ihra beaming and waving at Gaia on top of the starry night sky. The paint seems to be just fine.

 

"She's a goddess, she commands such respect." Alex says, before rising at Gaia's command.

"Your paint looks unscratched, though I didn't realise you had one of my children traveling with you. You may rise." Gaia says, looking down at Alex.

"I-It is a great honour to meet you, Lady Gaia. Might I say you look even more beautiful than the many perspectives I've read have described." Alex says, looking up at Gaia.

"How very charming of you to say, thank you," Gaia says happily, everyone's mood seeming to improve with hers as she turns her attention to Ihra, "It's pleasant to see you again, Ihra."

 

“I was worried you were mad at me, but I’m glad to see you again, too. Everything still going alright outside of this mess?” She asks, smiling.

Xlentia seems content, grinning to avoid showing her teeth.


“Do you believe me now?” Ihra asks Alex telepathically.

 

Crystal’s one-eyed gazes rises with Alex, keeping the other on Gaia.
“Yeah, but I thought that you kneeled to prove... in-a... inferiority, or something. You’re already a lot smaller.”

 

"Why would you ever think I'd be mad at you?" Gaia asks, laughing slightly, "Our reality has been going quite well recently, we've mostly just been concerned about yours."


"I-I do." Alex replies.

"I am inferior to Gaia, but if everyone just stood and stared at her, it would look rude." Alex says.

 

“I dunno, everyone over here seems to be mad. I guess it’s just been a while I met someone as optimistic as I can be.” Ihra giggles.

Xlentia glances at Gaia.
“Well, shall we begin? Emerald’s already charted out a path for me to take.”


“Your day starting to look up?”

 

Gaia smiles at Ihra happily.

"Certainly, where shall we be going?" Gaia asks.


"I-It's now the greatest day of my entire life." Alex says.

 

“A’ight.”
His eye goes back to its normal placing.

 

Alex decides to kneel after talking to Gaia respectfully, though Crystal feels like he doesn't need to look away anymore.

 

“First make a round to make sure the Void Labyrinth is in order, then we’ll visit a forested world, look at a few nebulae, then maybe we could visit a few landmarks of my domain?”


Ihra smiles, letting the link drop.

 

"That sounds exquisite." Gaia says happily.

 

“Then what are we waiting for?” Xlentia chuckles, folding a wing inward so Gaia doesn’t accidentally step on it.

 

Gaia changes to her air guardian form, feathered white wings close to the size of Xlentia's growing from her back.

 

Crystal shifts into a puddle to sit down, relaxing.

 

Alex glances at Crystal, looking rather confused.

"I didn't know you had a semi-liquid form." Alex says.

 

“Huh? Not really. This is just me in the middle of shifting.”
He sticks his fingers in his melted body and swirls them around a bit slowly.
“It’s more like honey, unless I shift quickly.”

 

"That's really strange. You certainly are something." Alex says, smiling.

 

Xlentia glances over.
“Not taking the ride this time?” She asks.

 

"You have others on you. I do not want to make things uncomfortable." Gaia says.
