Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Ihra brought me..." Alex says, sounding a little confused.

 

“Oh, right. I just came with some people, and apparently people know us, so I thought you were referring to them.”

 

"I don't know many people here, it's honestly really strange to be in a different universe." Alex says.

 

“Are you from the other one? It’s hard to keep track of everything at this point...”

 

"What's the 'other one'?" Alex asks.

 

“Universe. I heard there were two or something.”

 

"Well, I guess with the existence of this universe, there are many. I'm probably from the other one though." Alex says.

 

Crystal shrugs.
“I dunno. I guess it doesn’t matter, really.”

 

"It's strange how...similar this universe is. I was expecting a new universe to be totally different." Alex says.

 

"Oh. Does it hurt your feet?"

 

He shakes his head, never standing still.

 

“Huh... I don’t think about it too much.”

 

"Yeah, it's probably best not to." Alex chuckles.

 

"Okay. You sink into the path a little. And apparently there are thorns under it. Continue."

 

He nods, still shifting.

The ferret did say to avoid touching the thorns, or falling into the plants since some are toxic.

 

Crystal returns the laugh, then pauses.
“So, whaddya do as an earth guardian?”

 

"Well, traditionally we were made to monitor the ground and earth, making sure things didn't go wrong and cause massive damaging earth quakes or the world didn't split apart. In modern times though, we extract minerals from the earth at a balanced rate and provide them to the other guardians to make their weapons and armour with. We still need to make sure the ground beneath everyone's feet is stable, though." Alex explains.

 

“Why’re you here, then?”

 

"Well, I was trying to blend into human society to gain information on what they're doing. We're not strictly bound to be miners or geologists just because we're earth guardians. I noticed Ihra get kidnapped so I saved her, and she offered to take me here." Alex explains.

A heavy, fragrant smell of flowers and nature fills Xlentia's chambers as Gaia steps through a dark green portal into them, a recognizable red cog necklace around her neck as she looks around; size fitting the room's. The smell continues to emanate from her even after the portal closes, large flowers woven into her braided green hair puffing out their fragrances.

 

"Oh! Nice work."
He smiles.
