Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He turns it off, bored.


"Yeah, that's a fairly daily thing."

"Not at all. Hop on and don't fall off into starving chimera." Xlentia says, lowering herself.

 

Kia flies into the living room with a sandwich, putting it down and grabbing the remote.


"Oh..." Alex says, sounding disheartened.

 

Pozel heads upstairs again, keeping to himself before trying to use a core to be able to link himself to any nearby wireless networks.


"Hey, don't worry about it. Just means you got rid of a few shady people today. Nothing wrong with doing a little good."

 

He manages to find a couple near to him, one far stronger than the other. Both are locked, however.


"I guess, I just thought I'd done something a bit greater." Alex says.

 

Pozel checks the encryption, considering running ciphers through to break into the networks before opting to check Gil's room for a heat signature.


"You did, though. Something as small as helping a girl feigning distress will probably net you a meeting with Gaia."

 

He rises himself onto her head, sinking the stone afterwards.

 

She pauses for a minute before pushing the palace doors open.
"We might be taking a bit of a detour. Apparently I need to go entertain another Gaia."

 

There seems to be more than just simple character passwords, magical signatures and protective runes present to prevent access.


"I doubt it, meetings with Gaia are granted through a lifetime of saving people." Alex says.

 

Pozel gives up, knocking on Gil's door.


"Just you wait." Sivius smiles.


Gaia feels a telepathic link reach out to her from Emerald.
"Lady Gaia, would you perhaps be willing to entertain Ihra and mistress briefly? Mistress Xlentia hasn't stretched her wings in a while."

 

“I’m good with that.”

 

"...You can't get squished, can you?"

 

Gil opens it after a moment.

"Yes?" Gil asks.


Alex waits around.


"Certainly." Gaia responds peacefully.

 

"Would you mind teaching me about magitech?"


Sivius pauses.
"...Head out to the main hall."


"Thank you, Lady Gaia. She's about to take off on a tour of the Void Labyrinth, then visit a few budding realms, if you're able to come sooner over later."

 

"Uh, I'm not the most experienced person, but I can give it a try." Gil says.


"Uh, ok." Alex says, a little creeped out as he heads to the main hall.


"I shall prepare for my journey swiftly, and I shall arrive soon." Gaia says.

 

"I'm curious about this maginet. I'm unable to reverse engineer it from the outside without knowledge of magic."


Alex can see Xlentia's tail poking out into the middle of the hall, Ihra running after her signaling Alex to follow her.


"You have my most sincere thanks. I will make sure she knows you are coming."

 

“No, not really.”
He melts into her head.

 

"Good. Don't scare Gaia too much, then."

 

"Oh, I could give you access if you can use it within yourself." Gil says.


Alex sprints after Ihra, using his telekinetic powers to assist his speed.


"Thank you." Gaia says, before she cuts the connection.

 

"I just lack the magic. You've got Stella curious now."


It's a bit tough at first, but he catches up in short order, finding his agility boosted incredibly as he feels tireless.
"Free dragon ride and meeting with Gaia, don't miss it!" She giggles as she runs.

 

"A knight, as in warrior. You know, someone who fights for his king or queen and such."
