Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“Cool!”
He smiles.
“It’s always interesting to learn about other people.”

 

"Well, if you don't mind me asking in turn, how did you come about?"

 

“Like, get here? I followed this group of people and helped them defeat mind-controlled Xlentia.”

 

"I've never seen him eat meat."
He follows the hose and disappears from the ferret's sight.

 

The forest guardian takes it, their hand feeling cold.


Alex looks for a path to the spectator's area.

 

"Oh, you're one of the petals. That's neat, they all seem really nice."

There's a giant hook for the hose on the side of what appears to be a fire station.

Pozel's hand is a bit warmer, but not by much.
He then slowly brings them up to the palace.


There seem to be five marked entries for spectators.

 

The guards stand ready by the gates as the forest guardian occasionally stumbles, shakily taking out a piece of paper from their pocket.

"I-I have permission to visit." The forest guardian says as they offer the paper to the guard.

The guard takes the paper and reads it over closely, a stern expression on his face.

"Alright, this is valid. Head in." The guard says.

The forest guardian turns to Pozel, "T-Thanks so much, I don't think I could've made it here without your help. C-Consider me in your debt." The forest guardian says weakly, smiling.


Alex takes the first entry, heading through quickly.

 

"Don't worry about it, happy to help. Stay safe." Pozel says, smiling and waving once.


There's an incredibly diverse mix of races and hybrids watching the fight, two gates opening as a dome over the arena starts to form.

 

The forest guardian waves back as they head through the gates, which quickly close once they're through.

The guards keep a stern eye on Pozel, unmoved by his actions.


Alex finds a free space to watch, glancing around the crowds near to him.

 

He just heads back to the fae's house.


He finds a seat next to a golem, succubi, and a naga.

 

"Guess I'll just return it."
He goes to the hook and keeps his guard incase one of those fire spirits come to close.

 

“Petals?”

 

They watch you, but keep their distance.

“Yeah, the flowers of the resistance. Petals are a nickname for them.”

 

The house appears to be quite empty, the TV off and the faeries missing.


Alex glances at the golem, before turning his attention to the arena.

 

He places the hose back on the hook and immidently focuses on the fire spirits.
"There. Now to get back."

 

“Huh. Good ta know.”

 

Nervous, Pozel checks for heat signatures in the faeries' rooms.


The golem doesn't even notice.
A draconian in a black robe with red highlights stares down a dryad with vampire fangs sticking through the bottom of their lips.

"Pretty sure it stemmed from that crazy Ihra girl... oh, no pun intended."

One spirit points back towards the Obelisk, the path you had taken being shown with a thin line of ash.

 

Crystal giggles.
“She’s pretty nice. How much do you know of her?”

 

"Not much. I don't really stick my neck out all that much."

 

“Hm.”
Pause.
“Well, is that all?”
