Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“I said, I just sent someone to the palace. Try to get you a meeting.”


“A... what?” The dryad asks, confused.
The pimroca ducks under the topsoil a bit, leaving a fin sticking out.

 

“Yeah... is there something wrong with what I did?”

 

“No, I was just wondering why you felt the need to lie to me. I don’t mean to be harsh, I just don’t understand.”

 

“It’s just... personal stuff, I guess?”

 

"R-Really?" Gil asks, shocked.


"Oh, sorry, I forgot I wasn't on earth for a moment there. They're a type of guardian, one of my race, who controls water. They can survive underwater and on land indefinitely, as they can breathe in both. Their weakness is heat though, they can't stand particularly hot areas." Alex explains.

 

"You miss her too, don't you? That's okay." He pets Sgavrinn.

 

“Fair enough, I hope you can pardon me for asking.”

He nods, humming a bit.

The ferret seems to be slowly dragging a hose towards Sgavrinn, albeit steadily.

“We’ll see if it works.”


“That seems a bit odd, like a less aquatic merfolk. I guess each planet hosts different bits of life.”

 

“It’s okay. It’s always okay to ask questions.”
He smiles.

 

"I...I should go tell the others." Gil says, flying out of his room quickly.


"Well, I don't think I'm from one of your planets." Alex says.

 

"Need help with that?"
He gets up.

 

“Don’t get your hopes up too much.” Pozel calls.


EBB shows up at the palace gates, then pauses for just a bit.
“Bring this to whoever’s in charge. I’m sure you don’t want me to come make sure it gets delivered myself.”
It then leaves leaves a yellow semispectral feather and vanishes.


“True.” They shrug, the pimroca pressing its snout against the glass towards Alex.

“Y-yes please...” It pants.

“So... you said that Voidfiller person was your friend?”

 

"Ofcourse."
He walks over to the ferret and takes the hose from him.

 

One of the guards picks up the feather, checking it over.


Alex looks at the pimroca and smiles.

 

It seems to allow a telepathic link, likely to Idhaenna.


It pulls back a bit before turning and resting next to the glass.
“She’s mostly cooperative.”

The hose is light for you, and you wind up carrying the ferret with it.

 

The guard takes it inside the palace, heading to the throne room and bowing to Shadow Stephanie, before giving it to her.

Shadow Stephanie observes the feather, before using it.


"She's certainly interesting." Alex says.

 

It opens a telepathic link to Idhaenna.
“Ah, good, EBB didn’t cause too much trouble. How are you today, shadow queen?”


“They’re more interesting to watch in water, but I usually just alternate her between tanks every week.”

 

"I'm doing quite well." Shadow Stephanie responds regally.


"Why not have a tank with both?" Alex suggests.

 

“Would you happen to have time to hear out a small request? The zakretian who brought you home reached out to me just a few moments ago.”


“I don’t have enough space here.”

 

“Yeah. Well, he created me, so he’s not just a friend.”

 

"What would this request be?" Shadow Stephanie asks.


"Oh, is this your room or something?" Alex asks, looking around.
