Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"There. Don't you dare ruin this by eating the plants."
He goes back to focusing on the ferret and runs after him.

 

"A few times, but I like to stay here to keep track of things." Gil says.


"That's...new." Alex says.

 

You're still being carried by Sgavrinn, who just moans again.

The ferret's still running, Sgavrinn gliding behind.

"Fair enough."


"That's a library." Ihra says, stepping through.

 

(Oh, I thought I was running)
Bardock gets off of Sgavrinn and runs after the ferret.

 

"I worry for Kia and Sel though, I don't know what I'd do without them." Gil sighs.


"Alright..." Alex says, following.

 

"I could try to help you guys out. Find a job or something." Pozel shrugs.


The portal closes behind them, Alex able to feel the ground rhythmically rumble off in the distance, though it's getting closer.
The scale of the palace suggests it's bigger than the town Alex was just in.

"So, welcome to The Void. It's a place between realms, and as such there's a portal room linking a whole bunch of worlds here. I could show you that, or let you into the library, or show you the Chronoseum. Or bunk rooms... you get the point."

You stumble from the short fall, but you're able to keep up after a while.

Thirty more seconds feeling like thirty minutes of running as fast as you can, the ferret finally stops at the edge of the obelisk.
"Okay, we're here! I'm guessing you want to rest again?"

 

"Nah, I'm good." He sarcastically says while breathing heavily.

 

"...I'll go get you some water." They say before taking off again.

Sgavrinn curls up around you, panting.

 

"We can get by easily enough on our own, it's quite nice having a free lifestyle." Gil says.


"Is there some large minotaur like guardian of this place? I can sense something large near." Alex says.

 

"I know buddy, he's way to fast. I don't know how he does it, but I'm jealous."

 

“Yeah...”
Voidfiller looks downwards in a pause, then jolts back up to looking at Maqo.
“Well, I’m not taking the money. Figure I should say it.”

 

"Yeah"

 

"Well... okay."
Pause.
"...I hope you get the coding job."


"Nope. That'd be Xlentia."
A giant dragon head pokes down towards the duo, purple eyes seeming to look right through Alex.
"Little mortals, did Emerald ever come out?"
"I don't think so." Ihra says. "We just got here, though."
"Oh, okay. Don't steal anything, as usual."
"We won't."

"That... might get me kicked out, but I'll look into it. I can't do it today or tonight, and they have soulscanners so I can't sneak you in or anything."

"I take it you need less money than you have?" He chuckles.

Sgavrinn just lets out a sigh, weary.

 

"Yeah, let's just rest for now and worry about it later."

He looks around him.
"He should be back any second now with the water he promised."

 

"Thanks." Gil says, smiling.


Alex bows.

"It is an honour to be in your presence, o' powerful one," Alex says respectfully, "Might I say how pretty your eyes are today?"

 

“Just a bit.”
He says sarcastically.

 

You wind up getting a little bit of water splashed on your face.
"Sorry, I misjudged the distance. Here."

Pozel smiles, going quiet as his hololens flickers a bit.


Xlentia smirks, tilting her head a bit.
"Oh, such a shame I've been denied servants from the other reality. I ought to send you home with your weight in gold!" She chuckles, turning and walking down the hall, her body as wide as the hall.

"...Warned you." Ihra sighs.

"I do also want to ask you... What's up with the pink golem? I've never seen any spectator that worked up. You know them or something?"

 

“His name’s Crystal, I created him. Pro’lly one of my favorite things I’ve done.”

 

"Did you just put every emotion you ever saw, shove it in a rock, then make him super animated?"
Pause.
"...No offense. I just haven't even seen youth that... expressive."

 

"Something wrong?" Gil asks, noticing the hololens.


"I'm sorry, she was rather intimidating." Alex says.
