Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I guess that would change how things function." Gil says, thinking.


"Call me Alex." Alex says, offering a handshake.

 

"Drastically."


Ihra accepts it.
"Not sure how much you heard, but Ihra. Anything I could do to make up for your trouble? A favor from a god or a shadow pact, maybe?"

 

The gloved creature keeps its footing, and Maqo gets some good cuts into the stone body as the gloves creature gets the hammer.

 

Maqo lets off a sonic boom inside one of the cuts (hoping to rupture the stone body) before diving down and hiding all body parts in the ground.

 

He succeeds in rupturing the body and forcing it to crumble, leaving only the gloved creature, who seems more exhausted than under distress.
He makes a pillar rise beneath him, looking out for Maqo.

 

Maqo pokes a limb out from the edge of the pillar every now to keep him on edge, but it can see Maqo's blades, now split into four daggers, sticking out of the ground in a square formation centered on the pillar.

 

He slowly starts to thicken the pillar as he watches out for Maqo.

 

The pillar starts rumbling as Maqo gets closer. However, it's clear he's unarmed.

 

He lowers the pillar, trying to tempt Maqo.

 

At first, the lowering is controlled, but then, the pillar starts falling faster and faster before his ears start ringing, starting out quiet and slowly getting louder.
Maqo's daggers start glowing dimly as a whirlwind starts to pick up, and through the cracks of the pillar, he can see a runic circle.
Seems Maqo's going to try to wrap up the fight.

 

The creature starts running out of the circle on newly platforms seemingly held aloft by telekinesis.
He also starts to slowly descend to the ground as he runs.

 

Those platforms quickly start to destabilize, and the ringing soon becomes louder than his heartbeat and breathing.

The air starts to thin and have a purple hue.

 

"I don't kill everyone I see. Haven't ate in 2 days."

 

"I would hope that you'd hold off from consuming me in return for helping you get out undetected."

 

"Is that a yawn? Why did you follow us, Sgavrinn?"

 

"I doubt a connection could be formed across the gap though." Gil says.


"No thanks, I'm just glad you're safe." Alex says.

 

He jumps from a platform, diving into a portal which leads outside the ring.

 

He makes a chewing motion with his mouth.

The portal is distorted, leading straight back to the middle of the pillar.

"No, not across realities. That's why there are a bunch of refugees."


"You sure? Not even a special library card?"

 

The creature resorts to going to the ground and running like normal, shifting his head to have no ears.

 

"Refugees?" Gil asks.


"You've already repaid me by letting me save you. I'm sure Gaia would smile if she heard of my acts." Alex says happily.
