Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He tries to use a few more shockwaves from sonic booms to kick up dirt with the odd fluid on it towards the creatures, using a sword to loosen the ground in the arena.

 

They appear to be extremely venomous, their bites causing death in all but forest and death guardians.


Nobody else disturbs Alice, her peaceful home left that way.


"If you remove the source of the evil, you won't have to change it." The earth guardian says.

 

Pozel smirks.
"Do these things live here?"


"Those who leave ruin in their path to the heart of evil are no better than the beast they slay."

 

"Not natively, though some Shadows keep them as pets." Gil says.


"The ends can justify the means. The sacrifice of a few is worth the saving of a thousand." The earth guardian responds.

 

The light effects seems to have work off now, and the creatures don’t mind the goop as the one with the hammer advances towards Maqo and the other sifts through some of the items of the ground, the satchel now in two pieces.

 

He stretches his arms and tries to grab him out of the air.

 

"They sound useful for spirit medicines."


Pause.
"Just for clarification, the end goal for you is to kill every last human?"

One half seeks only to cut anything possible that came from the satchel, the other quickly moving itself inside the hammer-wielding creature.

You... wind up just getting picked up by Sgavrinn.
He ascends a bit and looks at you confused before seeming startled, circling the obelisk.

 

The hammer-wielder swings at Maqo as he comes at him, and the other creature allows the cutting to happen as he slides on a pair of gloves.

 

Maqo ducks underground, letting the leg that gets clipped by the hammer detach before trying to tear away at the soul of the creature directly.

 

The creature raises the ground beneth him, trying to not allow Maqo to reach.

 

Maqo just floats up with the ground, his hammered foot bumping into the creature that was putting on gloves.

 

"How so?" Gil asks.


"Not especially. There are certainly innocent humans, but it's the ones that control their industries that are causing so much damage to us. They've caused pollution, mass deforestation and species extinction, and there are far too many of them offsetting the balance of nature." The earth guardian says.

 

"Hey buddy. I thought you were tired, so why follow us?"

 

The creature picks up the foot using the gloves and tosses it away from the fight, as the hammer-wielder jumps from the pillar and glides down.

 

“Poison helps with spiritual medicine.”


“...Did you kill the orphan too?”

His glide turns into a vacuum-accelerated fall.

He opens and closes his mouth.

 

"I didn't know that. That's quite...odd." Gil says.


"No, they were just using him as bait. I told him somewhere he could get care." The earth guardian says.

 

“Tech makes things work in really weird ways.”


“I wanted to take him to a... safer place. At least, one with zero crime. And no, I don’t mean the afterlife.”

 

"Really? Tech seems to make things work logically." Gil says, confused.


"I didn't think you meant that." The earth guardian says.

 

He turns to stone as he falls, making a not-so-graceful landing and heavily cracking against the ground.
The other creature rushes over, though, grabbing the hammer from the fallen creature’s hand.

 

“Not always. Sometimes you just gotta use a little rip in reality to get a grip on things.”


“Just making sure.”
Pause.
“So, uh... who’re you?”

Maqo uses a gust of wind to slow the other creature and tries to trip them as the other half of his body tries to get a few deep cuts into the hammer wielder.
