Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The hand rushes over to the satchel, hooking the chakram over the blade nearer to Voidfiller.

 

"Uhh, hang on." Gil says, opening up a game client.


"It still felt like I was alive!" Abigail snaps suddenly.


There appears to be a few people walking by, and a town is nearby. It seems Ihra appeared in a sports field.

 

"Think that's a 'no'. No worries, we can go without him."

He looks at Sgavrinn and gives a thumbs up.

 

Maqo pulls the blade back into the satchel, stabbing Voidfiller from behind with the blade that was flung off with a disembodied hand.

Sgavrinn just curls up and moans.

"He's really moody, huh?"

Pozel keeps quiet, watching.


"Of course it would. Torturing the dead isn't all that interesting otherwise."


If it's an open-top field, she flies out of it and looks for a more forested area to land.

 

"Well, he did just carry me all the way here, and was running at a fast paste, so he's probably just tired. I can't blame him."

He looks down one of the streets.
"Shall we go then?"

 

A window opens showing a list of names with a preview beside them. They all appear to be games, the one selected called 'Slime Wrangler'


"I still don't think I deserved to go there." Abigail says, sounding annoyed.


There seems to be a large forest near to the city, a forest guardian visible looking at the city from a tree.

 

“Sure, let’s go see the security people first.”

“...How many games do you have, exactly?”


“You wouldn’t like my input on that.”


Ihra waves to the guardian behind her back, getting her bearings.

 

Gil looks to the top of the window.

"Twenty seven." Gil says happily.


Abigail stays quiet for a moment, thinking.

"Can I get some more tea?" Abigail asks.


The guardian doesn't seem to notice, going back into the trees.

A few people look up at Ihra, confused.

 

“You play alone or with other people?”


“Same stuff or something else?”


She waves at them, smiling as she continues to take mental note of landmarks nearby.

 

"Usually alone, but some games allow me to play with others." Gil says.


"Something else, please." Abigail says.


Other than the town and forest, there seems to be large hills beside the forest and roads leading out of the town, a few cars running along them.

 

“What do you play the most?”


“Something a bit more standard?”


Ihra approaches the city again, looking around for a hospital.

 

"Mostly this game called Enter the Gun Dungeon, it's quite fun if unrealistic." Gil says.


Abigail shrugs.


It's hard to tell where a hospital might be from the air, though Ihra spots a pharmacy with a green glowing sign.

 

Voidfiller rolls to the side and takes the bag with him, before winding up and smashing the bag to the ground.

 

“Don’t show me it. EBB nightmares.”


“Something fruity or just strong?”


Ihra opts to land on the outskirts and look around from the ground.

Maqo reforms after the bag hits the ground, hurling one blade through the bag to skewer it to the ground.

 

His attempt works, as Voidfiller seems too busy wincing and looking at where he stabbed his leg, which now seems to have something coming out of it.

 

Maqo splits his remaining blade into two daggers, rushing Voidfiller down blades-first.

 

A strange, amorphous something crawls (or jumps, it's hard to tell) out of Voidfiller's leg as a large rush of metal swats at the blades to set them off course.

 

Gil looks confused.


"Fruity, please." Abigail says, taking a small device out of her pocket.


The town looks a lot bigger from the ground, cars driving through it's roads as people walk about. People walk in and out of various stores, some people greet each other as they pass while others try to pretend they don't exist. The overcast sky causes many to carry umbrellas or wear light raincoats, though it doesn't seem like it's going to rain.

 

"Alright."

He places his feet steadily on the ground, ready to take off.
"Let's go!"

 

Maqo lets himself and his blades phase through the metal, looking to cut into Voidfiller’s soul.

“Fire people first!” The ferret says, running off down a side path.

“Better not to ask.”


Alice turns out immediately with a filled teacup.
“Blueberry?”


Ihra looks at those with umbrellas a bit strangely, but she continues her stroll anyways, still looking for a hospital.
