Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

“What about in there?”
He sends back, pointing towards the arena.

 

"Anime style movies." Kia says.

 

You could rip apart a bush, or head towards some shack that seems to have appeared while you were trying to get a crystal down.

"None of that gets out here."

"Heh, you'd get along with my sister." He says, the screen shutting down and opening up again, this time in Common Tongue. "I, however, can't help you there."
"Okay... uh... let's see if I can get this out here." He says, pressing a button that reads "195832451-CMTG-00032" and the screen switches from a menu to what seems to be a documentary on songbirds on different planets.

 

“So can I smoke in there?”

 

"Wow. Interesting." Kia says sarcastically.

 

"Hey, I didn't think the reception would actually reach into another reality." Pozel says, the screen shrinking as he pulls up the menu again and looks through other channels.

On the mini-view of the documentary, two birds arc electricity between their beaks as they do some sort of dance, presumably to mate.

"No. Not in this room."

 

Kia looks for anything that sounds like a cartoon on the channel list.

 

“Alright.”
He puts away the cigar.

 

There's no names of shows, just strings of numbers.
"...Okay, uh... I dunno if there's anything that'll interest you. I'm not seeing any of the non-informative channels in range."

The link fades.

 

"It's fine, I'm sure I can find something to watch on the normal TV." Kia says.

 

He keeps watching the fight.

 

Pozel powers off the holoscreen and puts the core back in his tail.

It still doesn't change much - it gets pretty boring after a while.

 

Kia flips through the channels a bit more until she finally finds one that seems to work that she likes. It seems to be a show about a group of people testing cultural myths to see if they're real or fake.

 

"Lets go there." He thinks while heading in the direction of the structure.

 

He shifts his eyes towards the stands, looking for a good way towards Crystal.

 

"So your a bunch of outcasts basically. Yeah I can imagine what that feels like."

"What exactly do you want to know about me?"

 

"I don't know. We've just never seen a demon before. Icwas always told that they just run around bringing death and ruin everywhere, but... you didn't seem like you planned on cleaning the facility with blood."

Crystal's up near the front; he'd have to go through several hundred rows of seating.

It's a tool shed, but you find what you're looking for inside; there's a whole bucket filled with the crystals.

Pozel seems mildly interested.
"These myths seem a bit ridiculous."

 

"It's why they try to bust them." Kia shrugs.

 

"Hmm, is whoever lives here mining them?"

He investigates the items in the tool shed.
"If so, how would he or she get up there?"

 

Annoyed, he just relaxes, turning his attention back towards the fight.
