I nod.
"If you're done with this room, that is."

 

"Can't think of anything else for here." She shrugs.

 

(Sorry)
He looks at the night sky to see if it's already dark or not.

 

"I've seen her, but I don't believe we've properly met." Eve says.

 

"Alright."
I start heading back to the metal door and out of the room.

 

"Do you know what her home is like?"

She follows after giving the pile of books one last glance.

The sun's finally setting under the horizon.

A gust of wind makes your nose cold, but that one gust is all you feel.

 

It's not only books, there's also some tables, and other structures of the sort, as well as some weird metal boxes.

 

"It's quiet. No wonder, it is night time afterall."

 

"Yes, it doesn't seem like the nicest place to live though." Eve admits.

 

Well, now it is. It felt like it'd never come, based on how bored out of our minds we were.

"Oh? Oppressive tyrants or something?"

She only really looks at the books before moving on.

 

"I believe it was afflicted with something called 'Ruin' that killed all the wildlife." Eve says.

 

"You said it. We really need something to pass the time."

 

"Oh... that sounds miserable. Though, that does raise the question, if this Ruin killed all the wildlife, how is anyone living there?"

There has to be a game or something we can play anywhere. Or you could put a board game in your pack."

 

"I'm not certain. I believe they consume each other, or the healthy people that leave a protected area called the 'Respite'" Eve says.

 

I keep going down the hallway, eventually passing the corpse again.

 

"We could play rocks."

 

"...That's grueling. Strange an artist would come out of a hellhole like that."

We don't have any rocks, though. Or circles.

She ignores the corpse this time, silent other than the occasional thing she steps on.

 

"We can draw circles and we can probably find some rocks in the cave."

 

We come across the crossroads, and I head down the hallway we haven’t been done yet.

 

"Amazing people thrive from dire situations." Eve shrugs.
