"It was nice to meet you too." Eve says, smiling.

 

"Mages must be crazy." She chuckles.

Well, we shouldn't really be lonely.

"Would you mind showing off a bit of your offensive capability? All my augments are civillian grade, I've never actually seen a military robot in action."

 

"Yes, but we're never together at the same time."

 

"Some of them are. There's a bunch of stories about them if you look in the right places. Or in the Void Palace library."

 

When are we not together? We're in the same body.

"Yeah, I've spent a few days in there. Can't read, though."

 

"Unfortunate. I'd teach you, but I'm not exactly qualified to do so."

 

"Qualified or not, Emerald said something about expanding the library's services. Something about a machine reading a book to you and finding teachers to help someone named Illiterate."

 

"That's probably not someone's name, that's what you use to describe a person who can't read."

 

"I have some footage I could show of me fighting." Eve suggests.

 

"Atleast we'll always have someone to talk too. It will give some weird faces, but that's understandable."

 

"Oh, I didn't know that. Well, I guess she's trying to open the library up to people who can't read."

True, but everyone thinks everyone else is weird.

"If you're okay with showing it, then sure."

 

"Well, that's nice of her. I'm glad she's doing it."
I nod.

 

Eve walks over to one of the walls of the room and touches it, a display appearing. Eve puts her hand on the wall for a few seconds, before a video appears. The video plays, showing Eve fighting the mother mimic below the Shadow Palace.

 

"Oh please. If we were in a crowd, we would be the only one who's talking to themselves. Or talk to myself."

 

"Damn, that's crazy. I definitely wouldn't want to piss you off." Pozel says with a nervous chuckle.

Okay, yes, but... Alright, I really can't argue against that one.

"I don't know how she'd get people to read books when they can't read, but I guess just about anything is possible with magic. At least, that's what it seems."

 

"Well, like you said, there's the book-reading machine and getting in teachers."

 

"Gotcha." He chuckles.

"But yeah, we'll always stay together. No doubt about it."

 

"I wouldn't kill you if you annoyed me." Eve says calmly.

 

"Thank the stars you're so much more stable than EBB..."

If we had an opportunity to become our own people, would you take it? I don't know if I would. You kinda help a lot.

 

"I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live like a normal human. But I don't think I want to lose this life."
