"Oh yeah, she ran off to find out where Aj went." Shadow Stephanie says.

"She's probably with Gaia in that case. It's where Aj is." Eve says.

"Really? How do you know?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

"The devices you use to contact me allows me to track where you are." Eve says.

 

Pozel smiles.
"The joys of technology."

I guess we're not the same person.

"Wow... robots are really complicated."

 

"Imagine making one that's more complex than that, and has skin."
I comment, looking at the same skeleton.

 

"It's not just technology, a lot of magic is used too." Eve says.

 

Pozel seems confused, but just nods.

"Cancel my goal of getting any sort of vague understanding." She chuckles.

 

"Heh."
I look away from the skeleton and turn to the now apparent large hole in the roof opening up to the sky, with a whole lot of boxes, books, and various rectangular items below it.

 

"Attic?"

 

"No, that's where Nineteen busted through the roof and got out of here."

 

"Then why were there books and stuff that look like they fell out from the roof?"

 

"Because I had to get out of here somehow, and I couldn't fly yet. I built a staircase up using random things I found. It might've been easier to use the front door, but it'd wouldn't have helped to be all bloodied."

 

"...Oh, I thought that was also Nineteen's doing. Couldn't you just break the door or lock or something?"

 

"Once again, it wouldn't be very productive to get myself bloodied before trying to find a town. It already didn't help that I have no eyes."

 

"Who wound up helping you?"

 

"...Nobody, for a while. People tended to stay away from the eyeless man."

 

"Who wound up actually bothering to help?"

 

“Well, not so much help, but I found this guy that eventually got me in all of this... god stuff. Other than that, some people were brave enough to buy my stuff, which helped.”

 

"Oh"
I make a break for it.

 

"Same body, separate minds."

 

There's an awkward silence, nobody speaking.
