"Who's Eve?"

"Sure, maybe for painting." She shrugs.

 

I hand it to her.
"Tell me if you need it more torn apart."

 

"She's a war machine we've built to hopefully give us the edge should another major war break out. She's sort of a large project, but she came out well." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Sure, maybe for painting." She shrugs.

"Well, if you were worried I would replace her, I just took on cybernetics to extend my lifespan a bit. Turn twenty years into two hundred."

 

"No, it's not that." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Then... well, is there an issue with me being here? I've never seen mages before or anything."

"Not really, feel free to stay as long as you like." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"Yeah, that'd help, actually."

"Would you mind introducing me to some of the people you talked about?"

 

"I don't know. What have you been up to lately?"

"No wait, that doesn't work."

 

"Yeah, we could go see Eve now." Shadow Stephanie says, turning to leave the statue room.

 

"All right. Give me a few seconds, here..."
I open the laptop, then stick my fingers in the hole where most of a keyboard would be, and manage to pry off the keyboard, revealing more of the dark-green tiles.

 

Pozel follows, a bit nervous.
"...Are you okay with me having a few cores of my own, or do you want me to go try and start from scratch here?"

"...Is there anything more than just dark green tile things in there?"

Yeah, we're literally the same person. You know exactly what I've been up to lately."

 

"As long as you keep them to yourself." Shadow Stephanie says, heading toward the elevator outside the statue room.

 

"That's easy enough." He comments, following her.
"Were you ever going to tell me you were a queen? I would've bowed or something."

 

"Yeah, it should be on this side..."
I move my hand to pry open the other side, which I do, revealing a black fan, some silver material around it, and a few wires.
There's also a large white tile, that doesn't at all look like the dark-green tiles.

 

"What's the white tile?" She asks, poking at the silver material.

 

It's not hard, but nowhere near as soft as cloth.
"You place DVDs or CDs in the side, they go inside of that. Not that you know what those are."

 

"Maybe chat about Rema or something. I wonder how Gram is doing."

 

"...Will you tell me what they are, or should I consult the void library?"

Well, if he's back on the island, then things will probably be fine with him. As for Rema... does anyone really know what she's up to?
