Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I didn't spend it all asleep. It was stupid boring, though."
"Yeah, I know. No cultural thing to miss there."

 

"And I assume you learnt a lot now, Ihra?"

 

"A lot is a stretch. I didn't even get to two of the tomes. I learned a good amount; I'd pass as a preserver of knowledge in training."
"Those seven tomes are like encyclopedias. They hold incredible amounts of information."

 

"Interesting." I stay silent for a while. "Ihra, what will you do if your parents don't come back, ahem, alive from wherever it is they're going to?"

 

"Then I'll fight harder to see my mother's will to completion."
"Was a dictionary in those tomes?"
"I want to say shut up, so shut up, but actually yes, there sort of was."

 

"I see... Ihra, can you tell me a random word that you found in one of those tomes that you found interesting?"

 

"Book: a not-magical tome, usually mass produced for selling."

Rineth sighs.

 

I attempt to hold back a laugh, albeit failing. "Anyways, did you find out what tea is?"

 

"Yes, it's a bunch of plants that are let sit in water. Then the flavor goes into the water."

 

"Good. Would you like some?" A vine sprouts from the ground holding my new tea set.

 

"Sure. Maybe a little for Rineth?"
"Or a lot. You knocked me out."
"Err... Right. Could you do that?"

 

"Sure" I say. I throw a fireball on the ground, and vines start to move around, pouring water into cups and placing leaves in cups and kettles. After about three minutes, the vines place several cups of tea and a kettle on the ground in front of Ihra and Rineth. I throw a water spear at the fire, causing it to fizzle out. "I've been learning a few tricks." I say.

 

"Neater than last time, I'll say."
"Better execution. You managed to use fire without scaring her."
"That too."

 

"Then again, the fire I used last time was Abigail's lava pool."

 

"Glad you got in your fair set of curses over the years."
I smile.

 

"Yeah, but you deserved her reaction."
"It tasted a little singed that time."

"Hell, better late to the party than never."
She smirks.
"Still feels odd using them. Not sure how some people belt them off like it's breathing."

 

OOC: *cough* me irl when I'm by myself *cough*
"Everyone's different. I often use them when I'm just mad. I guess it's just how I was made."
I shrug.

 

"It's a little bit of practice I guess. Most of the time when people curse, it's usually when they are either angry or in pain. It takes a great deal of cursing to get used to saying it normally."

 

"Hmm. Interesting. Odd. Still, they're strange. It's like synonyms for... I dunno. I'm just gonna stop."

 

"Its good to stop. Cursing can be offensive and rude to some people." I decsend into the ground, presumably to do something.
