Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I don't know. I think I'm just gonna enjoy the sunset until it goes down."
He gets up and starts heading to the outside of the cave.
"Wanna join me?"

 

"I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have any other signs, or are you just tucked back here?"

 

"I'm just here." The old man says.

 

"Yeah, I've noticed."

 

"It's a bit too cold outside for me." Anne says. "I love you, but I don't want to be on fire while curled up next to you."

"You might be too far out of the way for people to find the shop."

"You holing up there or something?"

 

"Well, it stops some of the rowdier Shadows from coming in here and disturbing me." The old man says.

 

"Hmm... Well, I suppose that I really shouldn't be milling about here when your king and queen are technically my enemies, but you might want to go find a lady named Alice. I don't know where she lives, but she'd probably be able to help you out with that. I only found you because I went through alleys looking for anyone who wasn't overly put-off about me being a succubus."

 

"Alice..." The old man mutters as he writes it down on a scrap of paper, "I'll see if I can find her."

 

"I'll see how long I can last."
He heads outside.

 

"If she asks who sent you, don't tell them anything about me, alright? Pretty sure I'll be killed on sight if I head back up to the palace."

 

"That doesn't sound pleasant." The old man says.

 

The cold wind quickly chills you, but you seem to already be a bit numb.

"Eh, death's only scary the first time. Just sucks I can't get away from the war."

 

"Yep."

 

"Brr..."
He shivers a bit.

 

The old man seems a little concerned.

 

"Oh... isn't it all run down?"

Rose smiles.
"Don't worry about me. I'm an odd duck, anyways."

Shivering makes you feel colder, and even more numb.

This is dumb, let me out again.

 

The old man just stays quiet, glancing around his store.

 

Rose shakes her head.
"...I'm sorry I brought it up. Just... don't forget to look into finding Alice."

 

"I will." The old man says, coughing a bit.

 

"Yes. Yes. Good idea."
He transforms.
