Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He sits down, if he wasn't already.
"Now what?"

 

"Don't you have a city to rebuild or something?"

 

"I'm working on it." I say.

 

"I dunno. We not think?" Anne shrugs.

"...Sorry. I just... worry about everything."

 

"But that's kind of a paradox. If you're told not to think about it, you do it." He chuckles.

"Know anything to help?"

 

"I dunno. Sleep, I guess? I figure only the two of us that were freezing out there are tired, maybe you."

 

"You're welcome to use the relaxation facilities at the Shadow Palace, you know." I say.

 

"Yeah, I could catch up on some sleep."
He starts to lay down.

 

"Yeah, but the guards don't remember me and crap."

The cave floor is super cold and really uncomfortable.
"We pretty much all could."

 

"I'll speak to them about it, I think some of them might remember you." I say.

 

"I can't go guard searching, but don't worry about it for now. I just saw Xlentia being Xlentia over there, so they need a break anyways."

 

"Oh great." I say sounding mildly annoyed.

 

"On the bright side, you have a thousand tons of solid gold more than you had an hour ago." Ihra sighs.

 

"Oh, really? Why?" I ask.

 

"Xlentia wanted to compensate for her... being herself at the palace, I guess?"

 

"Oh, well that's nice of her if she annoyed the guards." I say, pleasantly surprised.

 

"I'll leave asking for details to you. I don't really want to know what antics she's been up to now."

 

"I just hope she hasn't made any enemies with the guards." I say.

 

"Could you keep the fire running? It's cold."

 

"I only wish to delegate. Any other motives are lies, even if they seem true."
