Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The guard nods.

 

The portal widens and Xlentia drops in a gold coin that's four stories tall and another story wide.
"I'll wait for the next five hundred until you move that one."

 

"Well, he and the other dragon know each other. So.."

 

A group of guards appear to desummon the coin, each holding out a crystal.

 

"Still, where else would we go?"

Once it's gone, Xlentia drops another coin down.

 

The guards repeat the process, before disappearing.

 

"Outside. Maybe ask the dragon to take you away."
He points into the direction of the dragon.

 

The coins seem to have pulled the outer walls inwards slightly.

"Away where, though? We can't just be outside."
The dragoness comes out of the depths of the cave and slinks up to her partner.
"I didn't say you had to leave, did I?"

 

"No, you didn't. But we're just thinking about where we should go when the storm ends or when things get 'out of hand'."

 

The guards look a little frustrated by this, but don't move it back.

 

"Do you not have a place to return to?"

Emerald pops in and does that for them, it seems.

 

The guards keep an eye on Emerald, but seem somewhat appreciative.

 

"Yes. The island. But like I said, if something were to happen before the storm ends, we don't have anywhere to go."

 

She ignores them entirely.
Ihra reaches out to you telepathically.
"Hey, you ever going to show me how much the people I pulled out of that mansion knew about whatever crazy project they had Claire for?"

"Then either hope nothing bad happens or make yourself at home and don't think about what you can't control." She shrugs, laying next to her partner.

 

"Thanks. I'll think about it."

 

"Huh? Oh, I guess I could interrogate them or something, yeah." I say, sounding distracted.

 

"What're you in the middle of?"

"No... the point is to not think about it..."

 

"Alright. If you say so, then I'll try my best not to think about it."
He looks at the group and lifts his shoulders, looking confused.

 

"A picnic date with Artemis." I say.

 

The others shrug.
The two dragons murmur something to each other, and it seems intentional you're kept out of the conversation.
