Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What did you do to him?"

 

"Nothing, I guess he just teleported off somewhere. We don't have to deal with his violent outbursts now, though." Stephanie says.

 

"So... I guess we wait until Ihra's out of the seal?"

 

"Any way of speeding it up?" Stephanie asks, "Possibly including Aj so he can fix his mistake?"

"Could you maybe not?" Artemis says, annoyed, "I don't think we need to insult Aj for something he had no control over."

 

"None we have access to that won't kill her."

 

"So it's just waiting...great," Stephanie says, "I blame Aj for this."

Artemis bites Stephanie in the neck, causing her to scream.

"Tastes like magic." Artemis says, grinning.

"That frikkin hurt!" Stephanie shouts, annoyed, rubbing her neck.

 

The wound seems to seal itsef.

Rineth in draconian form approaches.
"Glad you didn't spend long making her freak out. I can only reverse time a little."

He glares at Artemis.
"My blood will freeze you in time. I recommend you don't try it."

 

"I wasn't planning to." Artemis says, wiping her mouth.

"I'm not some kind of juice box for you to drink from!" Stephanie says, annoyed.

 

"People are still people. Don't forget that. Don't eat your friends."

 

"But they have nice tasting blood..." Artemis says innocently.

"'Not insane'" Stephanie says doubtfully.

"Hey, if you could drink blood you'd understand." Artemis says, annoyed.

 

"I know someone who is very good with mind power. He usually uses it for telepathic links... but he can use it to try to control someone."

 

"Sounds like you should be buddies with Xlentia. She's got a collection of blood."

"He'd have to be able to override several hundred connections. If you have confidence in him, one interruption of his control would allow us to kill him."

 

"Ew no. For one, I hate Xlentia, and for two, I prefer blood fresh from it's host." Artemis says.

Stephanie shivers a little.

 

"She wouldn't mind a tiny bite wound. You're not even as big as her eye."

 

"I do have confidence in him... but I don't want to put him at risk."

 

"I don't think I want to have the blood of Xlentia inside me. She's evil, and I'm sure it would make me evil." Artemis says.

Stephanie absconds while Artemis is distracted.

 

"As long as you can trust him not to keep his control over us, I'll consider briging the idea to the elders."

"We're all a bit evil."

 

"Some of us are more evil than others." Artemis replies.

 

"In that case, I can make sure he doesn't if he tries to. I'm guessing he would gain control over the link and keep the link until the Hive Master and his allies would be killed and then destroy the link entirely?"

 

"Once the Hive Master is killed, they would be liberated until mind controlled again."
