Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I just seem to be focused on the forest in general, looking a little stressed.


"Hm? Of course, what do you want to speak about?" The chief asks in his usual friendly manner.

 

"Oh. I might be able to handle them if I don't get to startled."

 

"What's wrong?"


"I'm sort of getting worried about those pirates coming back."

"They're pretty quiet, you'd have to feel the dirt moving ever so slightly."

 

"Hm? Oh, nothing really. Just...uh, how is the tea?" I ask, trying to smile.


"Oh, there's no need to worry about that. We've fended them off once, we can do it again. Besides, we don't hold anything they could want here." The chief says positively.

 

"We'll see what happens when it happens."

 

"That doesn't really answer my question. Do I really need to read your mind again?"


"But why don't they understand that?"

"Fair enough. Good luck, though I hope you never encounter one."

 

"Please don't." I say.


"I think they got the message when we forced them to leave." The chief says.

 

"Then what's wrong?"


"I dunno, their captain was pretty stubborn, from what I remember."

 

"You and me both. You and me both."

 

"I'm just...a little busy, but you're pretty annoyed and stuff so I figure I should stay here until you're feeling alright." I say.


"Then we'll just have to meet her stubbornness with a reminder of what she's up against." The chief says.

 

The wyvern smiles, nodding.
"Really not a fun place to live."

"Go do what you need to do. You're a king, I'm just angry."


Mary nods, seeming to have been disturbed by the answer more than comforted.
"...Thanks."

 

"Shouldn't I show concern for my citizens though?" I ask.


The chief smiles, making Mary feel a little bit better.

 

"Sure"
Also, since when did I have dagger?

 

"That's what I'm saying. Go."


Mary smiles a bit back, heading back to the shoreine.

Your spirit form just has a dagger.

"Okay... you're in a power plant for an underground city."

 

"Aren't you still angry?" I ask.


The scene is the same as before, a salty breeze filling Mary's nose.

 

"That doesn't matter. I'm technically not a resident of your city. Tend to those who are."


She lets the water wash over her for a bit, then submerges herself and dozes off.

 

"Well, I mean...ugh...It's just..." I say, sounding awkward.

 

"Let me make this easy - you're pissing me off, go do your job."

 

I sigh, opening a portal and leaving.

 

"Just kidding, go do your job!" She calls after you.
