Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"That's all I ever consume." She grumbles. "So yes, I do want tea. And I want to be not here."

 

I think for a while.

"I know somewhere we could go." I say.

 

"Where?" She snaps, impatient.

 

I cut open a portal with shadow katana, inviting Alice to step through.

 

She peeks through, still frustrated.

 

It leads to a forest, a serene waterfall nearby leading into a large pond, crystals shining in the light behind the waterfall. A cool breeze blows through, frosty leaves on the ground.

 

"Where is this?"

 

"Earth." I say.

 

Alice rolls her eyes before walking through.

 

I step through after, the portal closing. I then summon a pair of folding chairs and a folding table, setting them up for Alice; summoning a teapot and two cups on the table.

 

"If this tea disappoints me I'm going home and ignoring you for a week." She grumbles, sitting down.

 

"Dangerous territory, I think it's better to stay in this form incase of battle."

He nobs
"And yes, I'm also a bit cold."

 

"Oh, I've got something special in store for you." I say, summoning a pair of crystals, one blue and one red. I fix the red crystal into the bottom of the teapot, before putting my hand over the teapot and summoning a teabag within, keeping it hidden as I turn the blue crystal upside down, water pouring out of it like a cup until the teapot is filled. I then sit down, waiting.

 

"Your girl's a walking firepit. You should just stick with her."

"If I find myself utterly wasted at the end of this, the previous statement stands."

 

I sigh, glancing around.

 

"I'm discovering the area. This part of the island is new to me."

 

Alice glances at you, then around her as well.
"...Should I be expecting someone other than just us?"

"It's new to most. There's not too much here, though."

 

I look a mix of disappointed and annoyed. The forest is quite elegant, sunlight leaking through the frostbitten trees and onto the crystal-backed waterfall. The sound of the running water is comforting, the occasional splash occurring from the pond.

"No..." I say.

 

"I've noticed, yes. Mostly just dragons wanting to kill each other." He gives a vague smile.

 

She opens her parasol, making sure it doesn't get in her face, before glancing at the water.
"Then why are you acting like something or someone else is here?"

"Dragons and anything else. You haven't found any burrowing creatures, it seems, which is fortunate."
