Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I teleport out of the way before Ihra cuts me, appearing next to Artemis.

"Why is Ihra trying to kill me!?" I ask, confused and mildly scared.

"You...don't remember?" Artemis asks, looking at me.

"I woke up from a poptart nightmare, then Rineth stared at me, then I stared at him, then I was falling, then I hit the ground and Ihra tried to kill me." I say.

Artemis gives me a confused look, "Is that all you remember? Nothing else...?" Artemis says.

"Uh...yeah. That is just what happened. Did Rineth teleport me or something?" I ask.

 

"Ihra is trying to kill you because you triggered her crazy homicidal side. By choking her. Dude, you really need to re-establish control over your body and mind, because otherwise I'm eventually going to absorb your soul. So try not to try my patience so much."
I seem more exasperated than ominous now. My moment of retribution has passed.

 

"Yeah...that's kind of impossible," I say, "If you were to borrow my soul for like 10 seconds you'd be like "Dude, can't handle it.""

 

When I look closer, I see a strange hurriedly-scribbled note.

 

Ihra's seal levitates.

"You tried to kill both of us."
Rineth grumbles, stepping next to Aj in dragon form.

"Teach dragon" is all you can make out from the messy writing.

 

"Oh whoa...jeez I'm sorr-OW!" I shout as Artemis bites my neck.

"Oh yeah, and you turned me into a Death Guardian." Artemis says, wiping her mouth and giving me a fanged smile.

"So you think it's necessary to drink everyone's blood like a vampire?" I say, rubbing my neck.

"Yours tastes nice though..." Artemis says innocently.

 

"Denial of blood from the blood and flesh eating shadow..."

 

"It's my bloo-OW! Would you stop that!?" I say, Artemis biting me again.

Artemis giggles, "At least becoming a Death Guardian has taught me there are multiple flavours of blood." Artemis says happily.

"Well done, Sherlock." I say sarcastically.

"Don't patronise me, or I'll bite you again." Artemis says, annoyed.

 

"Don't try Ihra's. It's toxic."

Sgavrinn looks concerned.

 

"I...think I remember drinking hers earlier. The memories are really foggy for some reason, but I think I drank hers," Artemis says, "We're immune to poison anyway."

 

"You did. It causes memory loss."

 

"Huh, I guess that explains why I don't remember it," Artemis says, "I wonder what Stephanie's blood tastes like..."

"Did someone call me?" Stephanie says, walking over.

"Run." I whisper to Stephanie.

 

"Don't kill your friends."
Sgavrinn holds Artemis back with his wing.

 

"Less so killing, more so blood sampling." Artemis says innocently.

"What?" Stephanie says, backing away slightly.

 

"She's a Death guardian now."

 

"B-But I'm not insane! I'm in control!" Artemis says.

"I think wanting to bite your friends necks to taste their blood would count as insane, Artemis." I say, smirking.

"Don't bite me please, I like to keep my blood inside my own body; not someone elses." Stephanie says, backing away.

 

"We're also down a healer."

 

Stephanie slaps me, "Bad Shadow! Don't kill our healers!" She says assertively.

"I still have no idea what happened." I say, mildly annoyed.

"You tried to kill Rineth and Ihra, apparently." Artemis says.

"I know but I don't know what happened to me." I say.

 

"That means one thing... Ihra's starting to distrust you. End of Innocence is a last resort defensive instinct... You lost her trust, Aj."

 

"I've also lost quite a bit of blood." I say, looking at Artemis.

I disappear suddenly.

"Well, I guess he can't cause anymore problems." Stephanie says.

Artemis glares at Stephanie.
