"Oh, those are just a few zealots. The Genesion king warned me about them." Erevne shrugs.

"Alright, thanks." Ruby says, dwelling on it as she pulls out the next contract.

"I've eaten my fill."
"We have no stock of food."

 

It seems to be for a standard double trident, designed to be streamlined and aerodynamic, good for throwing and piercing.

 

Twenty ingots later, Ruby looks over a golden double trident with blue and green detailing along the handle.

 

Vexa looks the trident over too, nodding.

 

"Well, there's plenty outside.."
He suddenly remembers something

"Oh yeah. He does it meat, but only if the creature was already dead before he found it."

 

"How we doing on ingot stock?"

"Scavenger..."
"Should make you happy to know I won't hurt your kids."

 

"We've got enough." Vexa says.

 

"Alright. I suppose this is just the day I get a work on my backlog... 'bout time I took this job seriously."

 

"You're not really helping. Both of you."

 

"We know." They groan in unison, before smirking at each other.

 

"So..? What's it gonna be? Can he stay or not?"

 

"I'm not gonna kick him out when I'm struggling with my children."
"You know, I could dig a trench of sorts to keep them where you want them to be."
"That's a tempting offer."

 

"See, this is working out great."

 

"My husband hasn't woken up yet."
"He's going to smell blood in the waters and it'll be hell getting him to take a second to think."

 

"What blood?"

 

"Metaphors."
"Uh... yeah, those."

 

Vexa nods, before going back to her own work.

 

Ruby looks for any fairly common contracts and makes weapons, avoiding anything beyond simple.

 

There seem to be a few contracts for armour, though there are a lot of simple contracts Ruby can do.

 

"Hey, how many ingots usually go into armor, and what styles go into the armor?"
