Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"You aren't the only one who thinks that way."

 

She sighs, linking to Artemis instead.
"Hey, can you reach out to Ihra for me?"

He pauses before continuing digging without another word.

 

"Sure, what do you need her for?" Artemis responds happily.

 

"Reaching out to Tenebrae to make sure she's okay."

 

"Alright." Artemis responds, before trying to open a telepathic connection with Ihra.

 

Ren opens it and to his surprise, it's a door to the bottom of the crater.

"If that is all, then you are all dismissed." Terrae says.

 

"I'll think of a way, don't worry."

 

I head over to the table and take a seat.

"So, I've heard that even in the underground you still connect with the winds."

 

I stop in the hallway, waiting, but I don't join her.
This room looks like a rectangular bedroom, except it's as big as the lounge room. Maybe bigger, but it's hard to tell with all the stuff clattered around. Much like every other room in this building, everything's covered in dust. The room consists of a desk, a swivel chair, a night stand, a dresser, and of course, a bed, all of which are littered with various household items except for the dresser, which has a few vases, and the bed, hosting another corpse.

 

Shadow Stephanie walks over and inspects the corpse, looking for how it died.

 

A gun next to him on the bed and a small hole in the side of his head tells about everything.

 

Shadow Stephanie checks the gun to see if it's still functional.

 

It’s missing a magazine, but other than that, it looks fine.

 

Shadow Stephanie spins the gun, before tossing it to her left hand, keeping hold of it as she inspects the dresser.

 

It’s got a bunch of vases, and some clay shards.

 

Shadow Stephanie decides to just leave, spinning her gun idly.

 

“He’s in there?”
I ask as she comes out.

 

Shadow Stephanie puts the gun to her head and pretends to fire it.

 

"Oh, I've seen him. I scouted this entire place after it all went down. The bodies looked a lot worse when they were fresh."

 

"I can see that." Shadow Stephanie nods.
