Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Claire doesn't seem to like it as much, but drinks it anyway.

"Good, I don't want my name changed to Sarah Connor." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"He is. So we better get going quickly. Things can change fast here."

 

I seem to ignore the comment, continuing to make my way down the hall.
Eventually, the doors stop appearing on the sides of the walls, one door appearing on the left. I go to that door, and stand next to it.
"Here's the place."

 

Ren knocks on the door, confused (and still cloaked).


"Single family, one story?"
"Sounds like a start."
"What's our timeline again?"

It's still warm, helping curb the chill of the house air.

Tuer nods, starting to stumble down the path behind you, the dragon (somewhat) helping him down.

 

He slowly and carefully heads back to the cave.

 

You soon find that the tunnel's blocked.
"...Right, we get to go around. Let me take the lead."

 

"I hope you know the way."
He follows the dragon.

 

Shadow Stephanie walks over and looks inside.

Claire rests her head on Artemis, falling asleep momentarily. When Claire opens her eyes again however, they look glassy and almost reflective.

 

It’s a large room, as a generator room would be. The first thing she notices is a corpse right next to the door, a dried splatter of blood a few paces away.
“Three. Ralph.”

 

"Jesus, this is like a messier Shadow raid." Shadow Stephanie comments.

 

"I do, we'll circle around and go back through the rest of the tunnel."

Alice comes out with a pot of tea, mostly for herself.
"Well... is everyone okay?"

 

"Alright. Take the lead I'd say."

 

The dragon's working on getting around the centaur.
"Working on it..."

 

He looks at the dragon.
"Is there enough space? It's not that big in here." He chuckles.

 

“I’d agree, but I’ve never seen a Shadow raid.”
I say, heading inside and being mindful of the corpse.

 

The dragon digs out the side of the tunnel a bit.
"I'd rather not throw snow at the centaur, but I don't really make these things good for anything other than one way travel."

 

"Well, while you keep digging..." He looks at Tuer.
"..do you know anything about your other siblings, Tuer? Any idea where they might be?"

 

"O-one got r-ripped up-p, but no-ot sure who..." He utters, still shivering violently.

 

The elites all mumble a general "Yeah.", most of them thinking about their hands and money.

Claire looks at Alice, Alice feeling like her very soul is being stared at.

"We basically go and kill a bunch of people who deserve it and eat them." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“That seems like a nice justice system.”
I comment sarcastically, holding the door open for her.
