Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I get up.

"I need to go." I say, putting my empty teacup down.

 

"W-where?" Ruby asks, confused.

 

"The Shadow Palace. Something clearly is very wrong." I say.

 

"Thanks!" Alice calls.

 

I quickly open a portal to the Shadow Palace, running through.

 

Alice pours Ruby more tea, smiling.

 

A long while later, there's a knock at Alice's door.

 

She opens it.

 

It's...head detective Yxun.

"Hello, Alice." Yxun says.

 

Alice glares at her.
"Damn I wish I also requested you be blocked from coming here along with the letters." She grumbles.

 

OOC: Yxun is male.

"May I come in? I have something to discuss." Yxun says.

 

"Nothing's stopping you from talking here." Alice says, slamming the door shut as she steps outside, sliding him a teacup.

 

"Got a plan? Cause I don't."

 

Yxun smiles.

"I was just visited by the king himself, he essentially said you thought my actions in the agency were wrong or immoral." Yxun says.

 

"I found a contract from a fairly large corporation on your desk. Something about two mage if you put eight families away for requesting medical compensation?"

"I thaw his face, then we run... or slide him down the mountain."

 

"Yes, that was one of the few. Of course, that would give our agency a bad name if the news got out about it, wouldn't it? I simply can't have that." Yxun says.

 

Alice pulls out a handcannon.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't be so cruel as to leave you with a bad legacy."

 

Yxun punches the handcannon out of Alice's hand with oddly extreme strength, before grabbing her by the neck and slamming her against the door.

"I knew you were bad for our agency." Yxun says, his voice sounding twisted and strange before his head quivers, splitting in half to reveal a large mouth, a green acidic substance dripping from it as it sort of hiss-roars at Alice, Yxun's grip tightening around Alice's neck as dark green clawed tentacles and an eye on a stalk grow from the mouth. Whatever Yxun is, he certainly isn't a Shadow.

 

His movements are slower than he anticipated a hundredfold, but only after he punches the handcannon away from Alice.
"Aj, I need you about now before I black hole my damn house." She urges, trying to reach out of you.

Alice splits, both grabbing a parasol before both lunge at Yxun with light-tipped energy blades.

 

Yxun spits the acidic substance at one of Alice's clones, before Shadow Katana pierces him along with the energy blades, cleaving him in half. I appear a moment later holding Shadow Katana, quickly slicing up his two halves, looking badly wounded and shaken. One of my arms appears to be missing, as well as an eye.

"I-It didn't g-get you, did it?" I ask Alice, shaking a bit after the tiny chopped up remains of Yxun seem to dissolve away.
