Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

They stumble about, barely able to stand, let alone walk.

It takes a full minute for them to tumble down into the hole, the dragon breathing a small jet of fire over them.
"It might hurt... but it'll get the ice off you."

 

Bardock stays close, taking a look at the centaur.

 

They're clearly terrified and in pain, doing their best to stay conscious.

 

"Kay." Shadow Stephanie says, growing a pair of shadow wings.

"Ok, Miorah would kill her." I say.

 

“...I never ask you how you were doing. What have you been up to?”
I ask.

 

"Sorting out paperwork for the kingdom, defending gods against the Hive Master, the usual stuff." Shadow Stephanie shrugs.

 

"Miorah apologized for her actions, she's not dumb enough to bite the hand that held the sword which aided her shield."

 

“Hah. I guess so, now.”
I look around for a few seconds, then blast off in a direction.

 

"Sssh. Don't worry, you'll be safe. I'll get you back to your brother."

 

They look at you, a little bit of relief in their pained expression.

 

"Hmm...Interesting." I say, plotting.

Shadow Stephanie follows you, though you're a lot faster than she is.

 

"Can't we just make a torch or something? You know, to not hit the centaur."

 

"Can you settle personal matters after you save the world or something?"

"Do you have a stick?" The dragon asks, pausing.

 

"Uhm.. no."
He looks down.
"Nevermind then. Should I look for one?"

 

"If you want. Don't go bringing any other hunters back to us, though."

 

"I dunno, I feel like after the Hive Master kicks the bucket, I'm going to have a lot less to do with your reality past personal matters. Unless some other threat emerges." I say, sounding a little sad.

 

I dip down and go up, stopping my jets to stall, before starting them up again and continuing on. I do this repeatedly so I can stay at the same pace as her.

 

Noticing this, Shadow Stephanie triples her size, including her wings, allowing her to keep up with your normal pace.

 

I just go at my normal pace again, assuming she can keep up.

 

Shadow Stephanie can keep up, though after a while she starts struggling a bit, a few random holes appearing in her wings briefly before disappearing every so often.
