"I can keep you empowered while you head there." I say.

 

"That'd be great... but you sure you have nothing urgent to tend to now?"

 

"I'm fairly certain I don't." I say.

 

Ruby nods, ascending before letting herself glide.

 

Ruby finds everything much easier than usual, more power to work with, with some assistance.

 

She closes her eyes, letting the winds go by.
"...If you don't mind me asking, do you still have that curse relieving crystal?"

 

“You get the point. So that’s where they are now.”

 

"I do, I've been meaning to use it though," I say, "I feel a sense of urgency, like the cursed are asking for me to relieve them."

"Is the kingdom still holding up ok with a dead king?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

“They’ll be fine. Assuming the murderer isn’t in their midst.”

 

"I hope they're found and stopped." Shadow Stephanie says, sounding a little concerned.

 

“Same here. At this point, though, only time will tell.”

 

"Well, let's hope the murder was just going after people of power instead of, well, people." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“Motive plays a big part in what species the killer might be as well. As far as I know, the king was nice.”

 

"They probably are, but there are a bunch. Who did you have in mind?"

 

"Sometimes people think you're soft if you're too nice. They see you as weak, and try to exploit that in a show of power," Shadow Stephanie says, "But I digress."

"Amethyst mainly, but also the soul-screamy one." I say.

 

"I didn't know Diamond managed to escape the group after her. That's nice to hear. Did you ever consider Peridot?"

 

I shrug.
“Well, anyways, I came to you about Xlentia.”

 

"I thought Peridot was a robot." I say.

"Did something bad happen to her?" Shadow Stephanie asks, concerned.

 

"Mecha draconians can still be cursed."

 

“Not really. Her paint got chipped from her last bout, she’s requesting a re-paint.”
