Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Daniel just covers his eyes, terrified.

 

He's left alone.


Ihra comes back to the station check on Shadow Stephanie and the elites, looking a bit annoyed.

 

Shadow Stephanie and the elites seem to be resting, Ignia and Tirra asleep.

 

“Oh, you have no idea. Just, read or something if you can’t sleep.”

 

Ihra walk over.
"You all okay, relatively speaking?"

"Read what?"
The other guard heads out, leaving his lance near the entryway.

 

"Yeah, we're just standing guard, waiting for the last of the hive master's forces to die off." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

Ihra hugs Shadow Stephanie.
"Thanks."

 

Shadow Stephanie hugs back, seeming like she needed it.

 

"It's really nice for something big to go our way after... last time."

 

"Yeah..." Shadow Stephanie sighs.

 

I shrug.
“Just busy yourself. To be frank, I don’t care what you do, as long as you don’t stick around the king’s body.”

 

"Yep. That's what I expected. Just like the dragoness told us."
He continues walking, searching for the centaur siblings.

 

"All clear." One of the mech pilots shout.

"...Maybe we could visit one of Idhaenna's planets and rest up there?" Ihra asks.

 

"I was thinking of heading back to the palace." Shadow Stephanie admits.

 

He nods.
"I'll take a walk, then. Nothing like ruin air to wither bad thoughts away."

"Your palace?"

As you walk, you notice another centaur over near another mountain ridge. It's a fair bit away, and they seem to have made a snow cave to keep warm.

The white-scaled dragon you saw laying in the snow seems to have since moved.

 

"Where else?" Shadow Stephanie asks flatly.

 

"There's, like, multiple palaces. I wasn't sure." Ihra sighs.

 

I nod.
“That works.”

 

"I guess." Shadow Stephanie shrugs, nudging Ignia and Tirra to wake them up.

 

"Pretty sure it shortens my lifespan, but what works, works." He shrugs, heading out while also leaving his lance at the entryway.
