Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh yeah, she tried to release him from mind control." I say.

"War and Rebirth sound like the worst aspects to be put together. It's just disrespectful to the dead." Shadow Stephanie comments.

 

I check for any prints on the objects adorning the king, excluding places I touched.

 

There are a few different ones, and a bunch around his neck.

"I don't see how it's disrespectful. If the fallen are tired of combat, I release them. If they still lust, they are reborn."

 

"Why aren't you the god of rebirth?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Why? Heh... that'd be a question for Mother... except she's long gone."

 

"You have a mother?" I ask.

 

I try using the powder and the brush to see if I can effectively show the new prints better.

 

"Of course. We didn't just appear."

There's too many, like everyone tried to check for the king's pulse.

 

"Who's your Mother's mother?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"That's another question for her."

 

"Where is she?" I ask.

 

And the ones not around his neck?

 

"I don't know. I don't think any of us know, except maybe Chronos... and I can guarantee you he'd never show himself in front of a mortal."

An assortment of just about everyone, it looks like.

 

"God of time?" Shadow Stephanie asks.

 

"Yeah."

 

"We've got a god of time too, though we don't really have a means of contacting him." I say.

"If anything Praecantatia would be the best person to ask. I'm sure she herself wants to know what's happening over here, especially if she's sending her daughter here." Shadow Stephanie suggests.

 

"I wouldn't tempt the Hive Master with one of your own. Even short visits are risky."

 

"True, I was nervous bringing Tenebrae here the first time." I say.

"Oh please, you were so smug about it because she was treating you like a child who got top marks in their class." Shadow Stephanie says, rolling her eyes.

 

I put the powder and brush to the side, checking to see if everyone’s done.

 

Two people left. They're practically done.

"To us, you are children with high marks. You're doing well, and you're children in comparison to us. I don't see why she wouldn't treat you that way."
