"I don't remember, but I probably was too."

 

Mish and Rin return with a few spice-bearing plants from the farm room, able to carry quite a few.


"Sort of. Why did we need to visit Idhaenna again?" I ask.

 

Ali looks at them.
"Oh, great. We'll try mixing them all." Ali says, cleaning her mortar and pestle.


"Because if the Hive Master gets to her, he has our reality's equivalent of Mortius."

"You think their mother's going a bit crazy over keeping an eye on all of em? I heard, like, eight down there."

 

Mish and Rin put the spices near the mortar and pestle happily.


"Right, I'll assemble an army. I think Shadow Stephanie and I are the only capable and free fighters right now." I say.

 

Ali takes a few and starts grinding them to dust.
"Would you mind getting a few smaller dishes out so I can keep track of what I have and haven't tried?"


"Don't overexert your forces. Alice won't want to go back and help root out crime again if you let things get too out of hand at home."

 

Mish and Rin fly to the cupboards, Mish handing Rin dishes who flies them back to Ali.


"Oh, no, I mean in our group. The elites are ready, and I have a whole army at my disposal. It's just Katie, Artemis and Stephanie can't fight, and Abigail is still missing." I say.

 

Ali starts putting equal amounts of powder on each plate, then going to the next spice and adding it to all but one plate, and so on.


"It's the army I'm worried about... Your call, though."

 

The faeries wait to be asked for help.


"What do you mean?" I ask.

 

Ali's still grinding one spice at a time.
"Hey... would you two mind measuring out an equal amount of flour and water for each plate? Just enough to keep the flower together for now.


"You still need an army for domestic affairs. Don't blow it against a brick wall."

 

Mish measures out the flour, while Rin easily creates bubbles of equally sized water.


"Oh, I was only going to take a few of them. The whole army would be a bit excessive." I say.

 

The flour doesn't need much water to sick together; in fact, it would flood the plate if Rin put as much water on each plate as there was flour.


"Have you not figured out that there isn't too much that's excessive when it comes to the Hive Master?"

 

"I see this place really has developed on it's own. How long has this community been down here?"

 

Rin makes sure the flour to water ratio is correct, carefully shrinking and growing her bubbles.


"Possible losses." I say.

 

"Very well. Thank you." Terrae says, returning to his throne room.
He contacts Ren to ask him what he found.

 

"Yeah, she is getting a bit tired of it. Would be too if I had to take care off eight babies."

 

"I haven't paid that much attention to the history books. I've got historians for a reason, no?"

"I don't know if I could handle that many for even a day."

"Box of ore.
Bottom of crater.
I cloaked it."

The fae have a good five minutes to kill at the rate Ali's going.


"Beyond excessive."

 

"Well, foxes and wolves usually have a couple of puppies when they give birth. I don't know for kitsune and werewolves."

 

"It seems like this place has been developing for centuries, is all. I was curious to see how much time this place has had."

 

"Kitsune are the same, but there aren't nearly as many."

"Well, you'll have to ask a historian. Also, try not to touch any crystals that are yellow and transparent." She says, letting a feather fall on one, the feather getting scorched with arcing electricity.

Those crystals seem to be on the edges of the path. As long as you don't stray from Reiglynn, you should be fine.

 

"How much then? 2 or 3?"
