Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

A short while later, Ali notices a very small note be pushed under the door, accompanied by a fading running sound followed by a quiet flapping.

 

"That's better."
He plays with those remaining.

 

She looks at the note.

They growl a bit, but not at you.

 

I put my hand to my ear again.
“Hey.”
Pause.
“You got it yet?”
Pause.
“Get gloves as well.”
There’s a third pause, then I take my hand off my ear.

 

Everyone just watches you, silent.

 

“You’ve still got the blacklight?”
I stand up, asking the runner from the ramp.

 

The note reads:
"Are you going to eat us?
Miss Ali?"

 

She writes "Yes, but not to eating you" and slides it back under.

He tosses you the flashlight.

 

A short while later, a nervous looking forest faerie opens the door, flying where the handle is.

"Uh...Uhm..." The forest faerie says, clearly scared as she looks up at Ali.

 

Ali's busy making flour, but she turns.
"Don't worry. I've never seen a faerie before, I didn't even consider eating you."

 

"Ah...I'm Mish." Mish says, nervously offering a tiny handshake.

 

Bardock looks around, not really knowing what to do.

 

Ali accepts the handshake with one finger.
"Nice to meet you. Have you always lived in that room?"

The moment you slow in petting them, they start rubbing up against your feet, which scratches you.
...You may have just volunteered for an eternity of petting what feels like sandpaper.

 

Mish looks a little offended, her hand easily grasping Ali's finger.

"No, we've been asked to stay in there to help you." Mish says, calming down a bit.

 

I catch it, going over the metal of the dart with it.

 

"The mother will come back someday, right?"

 

It's skinnier than the fur makes it out to be.

"Oh, well... good thing I made cookies th- wait, we?"

She's a short walk away. You could shout and she'd hear you.

Two completely flat fingerprints.

 

"Miss dragon!"
He thinks to himself. "Did she tell her name?"

 

Nope.

The dragoness rushes down.
"Is something wr- oh... did something happen?"

 

"No, I'm just a bit... overwhelmed at the moment. Can I get some help?"
