Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

He smiles and stay quiet.
"So, did you have a good sleep?" He thinks to himself.

 

Onyx watches Ali with her olive eyes, before taking off when she gets close.


"Yes, we've finished." One of the sculptors says.

 

"I don't intend to toss my first meal in weeks."

Yeah, it was great.

The dragoness sighs as another dragonling scrambles out.

Ali heads out of the library.


"Can I take my inheritance and head back?"

 

Ali finds herself in a hallway, able to go left or right.


The guards nod.

 

She picks right, still thinking about Onyx.


Milla goes back in the behemoth puppet and makes it stand up.

 

Ali feels herself getting warmer as she continues down the hallway.


The guards simply stand by, keeping watch.

 

Ali keeps going, now curious.


"...In other words, portal please?"

 

Ali feels the heat grow stronger, before finding a large blackened forge, fire guardians working in extreme heat creating weapons, shields, metal plates and even nuts, bolts, screws and nails.


One of the guards opens a large bright portal.

 

She tries to figure out what the plates are for.


She heads through with the puppet.

 

“No, I mean, the bag itself.”
Voidfiller grows an eye on the back of his head, watching the man.

 

"Oh, sure. Environmentalist or something?"
He's looking straight at the back of Voidfiller's head, gaze shifting to the eye once it appears.

 

"It just seems like this place would have revealed itself much earlier than it has to the surface. Have any other kingdoms come underground?"

 

The eye stays trained on him, but it doesn’t seem threatening.
“Not really. I just don’t want someone in here to think it’s food and choke on it. But more importantly, I can use the bag and tie for something else.”

 

"Three others came to the underground, but all of them eventually became part of the one matriarchy down here. Genesians are likely to follow the same path, if they devote their efforts underground."

"Fair enough."
They glance off to the side, but that's the only deviation their gaze follows from the eye.

 

They appear to be for armour, machinery and plaques, though it's hard to really tell.


The portal closes once she's through.

 

The eye keeps watching.
“So, what were y’all running after anyways?”

 

Ali looks for any smith that's out of the suffocating heat and approaches them.


Sapphire's box seems to have a small etching on the bottom;
"Here lay the frayed ends of the Mistress of Strings, master of a lost art and beloved performer."

"...You knew we weren't running away? If so, then you should know the whole story."

 

“You’re the third I’ve caught, not the second. Please, enlighten me.”

 

"We got locked up for using so-called dark arts to track down a few killers years back. The closest thing to dark we had was a blacklight... we ran when you brought up forensics, knowing that our best bet on avoiding getting jailed again was to get undeniable proof out there to take heat for us."

 

"...Well, fuck."
The green brick appears in Voidfiller's free hand, the arm wrapping around to his front.
