Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"What happened the last time? Did someone lose?"

 

"I can't remember, that was too long ago for me to remember."
One of the dragonlings scrambles out of the smaller chambers they're kept in, the dragoness sighing before getting up and carrying it back by its scruff.

 

“Hey. Bud.”
Voidfiller uses his thumb to open the man’s eye.

 

Still unresponsive.

 

"You got children. How cute."
He smiles.

 

"Too many." She laughs.

 

Voidfiller sighs and unties him, checking on the man that he left on the ground.

 

He hasn't bothered to move.

 

“Do you want to walk or be dragged?”

 

"I bet it's chaotic."

 

He stands up.

"It is, to say the least."

 

“Figured.”
He takes the rope and starts dragging the unconscious man out of the forest.

 

The other one follows, silent.

 

Voidfiller constantly checks to see if he stays behind him, and if the man he’s dragging flips on his face.

 

The man he's dragging constantly flips on his face, eventually starting to bleed. The other one just keeps quiet, keeping up.

 

A large chapter of the book seems dedicated to the history of coins, going back so far as to when wooden, stone and iron coins were used.


"It splits into smaller puppets?" A sculptor asks.

 

Voidfiller stops, and starts carrying the man instead of dragging him, then keep walking.

 

"But it has to be nice too, right? Don't you enjoy having kids?"

 

Ali closes the book and goes to put it back.


"Yeah, she has, like, eight blueprints for these kinds of puppets but she's never gotten any of them to actually work."

"I do, when they're not all over the place."

The one following just keeps up.

 

Ali notices a familiar black cat watching her from next to the front desk.


"Well, if it doesn't damage the puppets, go ahead." The sculptor says.
