Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Well, I trust you." I say.

My half-heart necklace begins glowing.

 

"Glad you do. I was hoping not to need it... though if you think the creatures of light are supplying these, then I may want to look into it to avoid the growth of any concerns."

 

"A deep sleep? Let me think."

 

He nods, growing a bed of flowers.

 

"I'd suggest that," I say, "You don't want any assumptions being made and misunderstandings happening."

 

"I'm not overly concerned. I think they know better than to try and conquer with what they have. If not... they don't want to know what we've done."

 

"I mean, you have a library full of your history." I say, shrugging.

My necklace, the glow of which seems to have become quite bright, erupts into vines, catching me by surprise. A couple of vines wrap around my arms, while a vine hand reaches out from the necklace and grabs Abigail's crystal, before dragging it back into the necklace, shrinking with it.

"Hey!" I shout, trying to stop the vine hand, though the vines around my arms keep them in place.

 

"Well.. I tried to get into a deep sleep, but I don't know how to do it."

 

"...Is that something Artemis gave you?"

Sgavrinn nudges you a bit harder than usual.

 

"Yeah, but it's never done that before." I say, concerned.

 

"Ask her about it, then. I need to move the killzones anyway, so best you're not here for that."

 

"Yeah, I'll go ask her." I say, before falling through a dark portal, the portal swiftly closing behind me.

 

Minutes later, Ali shows back up at the shadow palace.
"Uhm... is the king back?"

 

"He is." The guard says.

 

"Would now be a bad time to inquire if he'll still have me here?"

 

"Not really." The guard says, opening the gates for Ali.

 

She nods, starting to head in before pausing.
"...Where should I go to see him? Throne room?"

 

The guard nods.

 

She waves as she heads to the throne room.

 

A couple of large guards wait outside the closed throne room doors, looking at Ali as she approaches.
