Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I learnt to read minds a long time ago. I'm not very good at it, but you seem to want a staff quite a bit. There is a house which looks exactly like my tower. The only difference is, it's upside down. The person who owns it has lots of magical items. He likely has a staff which you can use."

 

"Stab him. I don't want to waste more energy than necessary on him, but I will if you fail."

"Thanks. Yeah, a dagger doesn't make a good wand."
Sarin looks for mentioned tower.

 

I leap towards Crelucium, before stopping myself and falling short.

"'Sup dude." Crelucium says casually.

"You're here. You are actually behind Abigail's kidnapping." I say.

"Oh yeah. Tortured her when I was done with Katie, really nasty stuff. Then I wound up here, and now you're here." Crelucium says, lying back.

"I can't believe you could torture such an innocent girl like that." I say, readying Shadow Katana.

"Aw man, you know what I should've done? Gotten Katie to torture her. Katie was super worried about Abigail and you guys, which is why I kept them apart. Damn, wasted opportunity." Crelucium says, annoyed at himself.

"You'll pay for what you've done." I say, bringing Shadow Katana down on Crelucium.

"How much do I owe you." Crelucium says dodging out of the way and summoning a twilight blade in his hand.

I slice the blade in half with a quick strike,

"Wait what the he-" and decapitate Crelucium.


"Crelucium must've gotten her..." Katie says sadly.

Katie seems to notice something about Abigail, "Um, how strong were you healing her? I think she's wounded." Katie says, pointing to a bloody stain on Abigail's chest, and cuts along her arms.

 

"Thank you, darling. I suppose you're against me, though. If you promise not to trash my palace, you're free to revel in the beauties of the Void."

"Our spells weren't working. We're using the crystal to stop the bleeding and hoping that more gentle spells will help her heal. I'm sorry about your friend."

 

I begin rapidly stabbing and cutting what remains of Crelucium's body.

"Bro, chill, we can talk abu-" Crelucium's head says before I slice it in two, then in four, then in eight, sixteen, 32 and finally 64.

"I think he's dead." I say, watching Crelucium's remains fade away.

"So um, why don't you like Ihra?" I ask.

"Please don't eat me please don't eat me please don't eat me." I think.


"Abigail...no. Please say you're alright..." Katie says, putting her hands on the crystal. A few tears run down her face.

 

Xlentia causes Crelucium's remains to reappear, disintegrate, then they're pulled into a portal.
"I leave any memories he left intact. All forms of him, however, are gone forever."

Xlentia slides up to a dimly lit room filled with relics and treasures.
"I don't hate Ihra, per se, I hate her staff. Also, I won't eat you. They, however, will, if you break something."
Part of the walls jump out near you as monsters, snarling, before they retreat and reform the wall.

"She's alive, but she's not well. The stasis crystal can keep her alive until she can be conscious on her own. We don't release unstable creatures, it'd be cruel."

 

"What's so bad about the staff? I thought it was pretty cool." I say, summoning a raw steak in my hands and throwing it at one of the monster-walls.

I look at the relics and treasures with admiration.


"Thank you." Katie says, looking at Abigail.

"Where...am I?" Katie asks, looking back.

 

The wall seems to be a normal wall.
Another cerberus-like monster sniffs at and eats it, though.
"It's extremely dangerous. I need to hand it off to someone to break a seal on it; I can't do it on my own."

"You are in the Draconian Hive. We've been alerted that she broke in here and killed a bit of the army and a few innocents shortly before, but she was no use to anyone in the condition she's in. I don't recognize you from the group of invaders, but they did mention your name."

The Aquos put their hands/claws up.
"We don't mean to engage. If healing her means releasing her and her going home, we'd prefer that. We don't want trouble with a whole other world; we're too worn down to last."

 

"Why is it dangerous? Ihra seems innocent enough, she doesn't have any hostile intentions. Why not let sleeping dogs lie?" I say.


"Draconian? Do you know Ihra?" Katie asks hopefully.

"If you could, please heal her. She's a friend...at least to me." Katie says.

 

"It's not her, it's the staff."

"Ihra? Are you with the resistance?! Urgh... Please don't let this get out, we'll be sent to rot in the Desert!"

 

"What's so bad about the staff? It stores souls and can create telepathic links with this creator person. I don't get what's up with that." I say.


"Resistance? Ihra's nice!" Katie says, "I don't think Ihra's plotting anything evil. I think she wants to cure the fragments of their corruption."

 

"Don't test my patience. Take a look around, but don't break anything and don't touch my hoard."
She closes her eye, laying in the room (the size of a city) filled with jewels.
Even the hallways are colossal. They're wider than if you put all the rooms in Shadow Home next to each other side-to-side.

"It's not her. The Hive Master has wanted to cast us into Oblivion, to give up. The Resistance wants to save us. I-aaaAAARGH!"
Their eyes glow a solid blue and they collapse. The other two reel back in fear.
"No... Mercy, please!!" They stammer.

 

"Hey, give me valid reasoning and I can get Ihra to give you the staff. You don't seem as bad as she said you were." I say happily.


"What's wrong? What's happening?" Katie asks fearfully, kneeling down to the two draconians with blue eyes.

 

"I barter with nobody. Leave my sight before you change my mind about letting you look around."

The two back up, eyes starting to flash. The third, eyes a solid blue and wings and tail limp, approach you.
"You're with the Resistance. Maybe we should just dispatch you and your friend... That way, Master won't leave us to rot..."
Water orbs form in their claws. The other two are screaming, clawing at their faces.
The sound of more draconians approaching can be heard from outside.

 

"Oh...sorry." I apologise, running off to look at a relic. I seem overly interested in it, trying to not look back.


"Wh-What's wrong with you!?" Katie says, readying her trident.

 

You run a fair ways.
It's a petrified dragon of sorts.

Something between a dragon and a draconian walks through the door.
"They are not allowed to break from the Hive. Now, I offer you this one chance; we'll forget you're with Ihra until you and your rebel friend are safely back in your homeworld."
They snap their claws, and the three break from their trance, falling limp on the floor.
"Take it or leave into Oblivion."

 

"Hmm, yes, very interesting, very interesting." I say, looking at the dragon with a critical eye.


"O-ok. I'll take it. I just want Abigail and I to be safe." Katie says, shaking.

 

Two draconians, blades on their wings like Rineth, approach.
"Mistress is untrusting as of late. Don't think you'll buy an opening to speak with her. There's more to see than that tiny thing, though. Here," one hands you a red bracelet.
"It'll make moving around here easier. Her palace is easily the size of a world. Enjoy your stay, but remember, don't break or try to steal anything."

He vanishes. The other draconians leave.

The three Aquos look at you nervously.
"Are you okay, miss?" They look minorly wounded.

 

"Huh, neat." I say, looking at the bracelet.


"Are you hurt?" Katie asks worriedly.

 

"If you wish for us to explain something, tap the brace. It'll notify me, but it only works within Xlentia's palace. If I've learned one thing from being here, it's this; be careful how you wake The Queen of The Void."
They vanish.

"We're fine... ugh. I'll look into healing your friend a bit faster. The Sages are scared to come near her, though."
They go over to a control panel of sorts and start working with a UI so complicated, it looks like Abigail wouldn't even be able to figure it out.
