Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Spring carries her over without another word, particularly Aqui.


"Beings who resisted attacks that tore into the fabric of this reality struck. I can't leave, I exhausted most of my reserve magic wiping them out. If I didn't cut into your reality, then they've made their own. I'd like to share the vision of the events from my end, but if I leave, most things here will stop working."

He shakes his head, looking a bit stressed.

 

"Hospitality can go a long way. Anyways, let's begin."

"Have you ever heard of the underground allowing a kingdom power?"

 

"Alright. Maybe later then."
He lays back down.

 

Tirra glances at Katie and Spring, giving a weak wave.


"Then I suggest you rest and stay where you are." Caelia says.

 

"It depends on what you define as power. It has given one respite, but not power."

Sgavrinn curls up around you, humming.

Spring nods at Tirra, Gaia beginning to heal any deeper wounds and weariness.


"That's exactly why I'm asking you to go out of your way to come to me."

 

I stop and check my surroundings, see if I can find any landmarks on the map.

 

I just listen to them, trying to understand the situation.

 

"I guess that's a yes?"
He pets Sgavrinn on his back. Going from head to tail.

 

The elites gain back their energy, their wounds healing as Victus pulls out some energy bolts from his body.


"And why do you need me to visit you?" Caelia asks.

 

You have to walk a bit to go all the way, but he rolls over and hums.

Ihra lets out a snore.


Emerald pauses.
"I may have exaggerated its importance. I thought that perhaps you would like what information I had on the beings."

"...Couldn't have been the raptors, they can't use blowguns."
"Wouldn't need to..."
"Mantis armblades match the cuts..."
"...something like paint in the blood..."
"...have to be an inside job."

The map shows that there should be two huts nearby, though the forest is thick enough to warrant its own coloring. Perhaps there's another safehouse nearby?

 

Ah.
Ren gets there with ease, but as usual the door to the throne room is shut closed.

 

He knocks, assuming nobody else is waiting to enter.

 

Feeling healed enough, the elites open a portal to the realm of Shadows, heading through.


"Perhaps that information may be more useful to your friends fighting with you." Caelia says.

 

"We just finished up the fight. There's not much more I could tell them; anything aside from using raw strength would only bolster their abilities."

 

There is no answer. Just silence.

 

He waits for a bit, and if there's no response after a minute, he looks for the nearest servant.

 

"Surely information on the enemy's behavior, strengths and weaknesses would be of assistance to them in a future battle?" Caelia suggests.

 

"There was none. No pattern at all, no meaningful weaknesses, nothing of that sort. I don't know what use it would be."

 

"Then you should rest and prepare for the next time you face them." Caelia says.

 

"That I will. I apologize for diverting your attention with a false alarm."
