"Did Solis tell you to kiss my ass on your way in?" She grunts, lighting another torch. "...Whatever. You're here for answers, not questions. Begin whenever you feel like it."

"Hired? You could say that. I've gone with reasons less legitimate than that." She shrugs.

 

If I can see it, I can teleport there.

 

"What, so you just hated her, despite never meeting her?" I ask.

 

"So where to start. I guess I'll start with Siln and Gram."
He sits straight.
"So... it all start with me and Anne returning to Siln's cave. Once we got there, Siln told us that his neighbor was still missing. Earlier he told us that Gram was helping stop the forest fire near my territory. Nothing to worry about, but since he still hadn't returned after a day, we decided to go and look... Are you still following this?"

 

"I could ask you the same. One doesn't build friendships overnight, and it was due time you knew what loss was. Everything you took from me... heh, who am I kidding? I shouldn't even be here. No, everything you took from someone I knew was why I stopped lurking in the shadows."
Pause.
"Tell you what, you've had a rough day. Instead of taking the opportunity to cut a few more of your friends down, I'll take the high road and keep my axe out of your face... maybe even let you interest me in a trade for this half of a soul."

Then do that. When you get there, of course... it feels strangely like you've been walking in circles for a while.

He nods, looking at you attentively.

 

Hold on, is Ren bringing the crate with him?

 

No, he's not that strong. He's just trying to hide the crate from any other prying eyes.

 

"And who did I take things from?" I ask.

 

She shakes her head.
"Okay, I'll either answer that or give you your friend's soul half. I'm sick of sticking around here. I doubt you really care, anyways. I've seen the cycle before - victim tells story, perp fakes remorse long enough to get victim to drop guard. So, you get to choose which one you want; your friend, or to know who mine are."

 

"My friend." I say.

 

"Okay. So.. we decided to go check out the situation in the forest. We travelled there with a friend of Siln, a female wyvern. I don't remember her name, but she was very 'free spirited' to say the least."
He thinks for a second.
"Uhm.. then once we arrived, the wyvern left. Apparently the Ziz was involved in the fire. There was a fire and she made it worse, I believe. Anne mentioned that the Ziz hated wyverns, but not wyrms, so we called Rema. I don't know how we did it, but we did it. She agreed to have a talk with the Ziz."
He lays down.
"Okay, give me a sec. I need to refresh what happened."

 

She chuckles, tossing you a broken ruby crystal.
"I'll see you on the other side." Iris smirks, aura shifting to a glowing orb.

He nods, growing a few flowers and snacking on them while he waits.

 

I glare at Iris, pocketing the ruby before walking over to Artemis and picking her up. I jump through a dark portal, which closes quickly afterward.

 

Ihra opens her eyes as Spring brings Katie out of hiding.


Emerald reaches out to Caelia, expecting anger.

 

Katie looks around, worried.


"Yes?" Caelia asks.

 

Statues are smashed, the tree is shaken, and Xlentia's armor is scratched up (a crystal or two broken), and the floor is thoroughly charred.


"I would like to apologize for temporarily damaging your reality in attempting to defend my library."

 

Katie looks around for anyone she knows, scared.


"Hm? There hasn't been any damage toward my reality, none from yours at least." Caelia says.

 

The elites are over by the entrance, as is Xlentia.


Emerald pauses.
"...You may be interested in visiting, then."

 

"C-Can I go see the elites?" Katie asks Spring.


"There were no visits planned for the near future, though I may consider inquiring the other gods about one if you so desire." Caelia says.

 

"Okay, so Rema flew away and went to talk with the Ziz. In the meantime, me and Anne walked around a bit when we suddenly found Gram laying on the ground. He was badly injured, so I'll spare you the details, cause it didn't look to good. There was a log stuck in his body and Anne tried to remove while I gathered some food and water. Once I returned, a part of the log was already gone, but Gram was still very injured and threatened with death. Later that day, Rema returned with news. The Ziz has stopped causing trouble, for now. After she saw Gram, she called upon the other dragons to aid her. It took a while, so we had to spent the night with Gram. The next morning a group of wyverns helped aid Gram. They said that he might never return to normal."
*sigh*
"Do you want to hear the next bit, it wasn't that good of an experience to me."
