Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Because I don't really think things through. I can sort of override our thoughts.

She winds up summoning two, opening up the possibility to crush and rip Abigail up into any number of pieces Aqui desires. Furthermore, some of the spikes wind up blocking Abigail's chakrams from returning.


The books cover themselves with a barrier, Ruby's body phasing out of existence as Emerald levitates amidst the darkfire, unaffected as her tomes gather behind her.


Ihra seems to expect this, catching the foot in a blast of more holy magic as she shoots herself skyward.
Iris works on tracing where the nobody is hiding, determined to get rid of it for good.

"Maybe you should... go first, then." She says, a bit nervous.

 

"Let's go back inside and heat up next to Anne. Sounds good?"

 

Yeah. Dry off and go back to your normal form. I've gotten my stretching in.

 

Aqui uses the first set to crush Abigail into place, pinning her and leaving holes the size of the second set to get through, before ripping through Abigail with the second set of spikes, creating an icy ball for a split second.

What remains of Abigail crumples onto the floor, burning away into nothing in shades of black and white.

Aqui turns her attention to Iris.


The dragon spins around, hitting Emerald hard with it's tail.


The foot falls back into the ground, the second hand trying to grab Ihra.

The nobody seems to be inside the ground, floating about like there isn't anything solid around it.

 

He goes back inside and without saying much, he lays down next to Anne. Once he's comfortable he transforms back to his human form.

 

On contact, an insane pulse of omnielemental magic rips through the dragon, Emerald physically phasing through the strike.


Ihra and Iris seem to be preoccupied, and not with each other.

Ihra swings a slightly weaker projection of holy magic at the hand, starting to grow weary.
Iris, on the other hand, sends a focused psyblast where the nobody is "floating."

She doesn't seem to notice, both her and the wyvern asleep.
The occasional snore might keep you from joining them, though...

 

The dragon is knocked back, but still stands. The dragon roars, and small dark portals begin to open around it, dark creatures with yellow eyes of varying sizes and power crawling through them, a small group of elemental creatures flying over to Emerald, casting electric, ice, fire and telekinetic attacks on her as a green creature heals them.


Aqui tries summoning an iceberg above Iris to crush her, while trying to fill the area below her with water.


The Nobody seems to notice this, shifting and warping around the psyblast before erupting out of the ground below her, grabbing her and creating thorns all around her.

 

"Not this again..." He thinks.
"Maybe I should sleep somewhere else?"

 

"I'll probably go after this, but I wouldn't be scared. At most, it's probably just a home for some wildlife now."

 

The green creature is the first to find a detonation of null magic go off inside it, the other elementals soon to follow as Emerald begins to write something in one of her tomes.
Thirty small rings start bombarding the dragon with needles of light magic.


Iris lets out a disruptive pulse around her, Ihra backing it up with a wave of holy magic. However, the Nobody and Iris gets bashed with essentially a giant iceberg, Iris taking the opportunity to electrify the water with the hopes the Nobody will still be in it.

"You're also both armed and more able to take a hit than I would be." She adds.

Worst case scenario, you could let me out and we could crash near the mouth of the cave.

 

I nod.
"I'll clean out anything that might give you trouble."

 

"Sounds like I ought to schedule a visit, then. Again, I'll think about it after I finish this painting."
Pause.
"Thanks, by the way."

 

"I'll just go to Lucy. I don't think she snores."

 

The green creature is killed instead with it's brethren, though the other creatures seem a little more hardy to the null magic.

The dragon roars, jumping and sending out shockwaves that quake the earth and disrupt the air, before shooting a huge dark fireball from it's mouth directly at Emerald.


The nobody seems to have warped around the water, before punching Iris, black and white thorns erupting from the hit.


Aqui creates more water, trying to submerge the entire area.

 

"No problem. I'm happy to help."
I smile.

 

The barriers protecting the library hold, the fireball being consumed by a disintegration ray of light magic.
The needles turn their focus to the smaller creatures remaining, shifting their elements and looking to pick them apart.


She puts the blade of her axe between her and its fist, using the water to jet to the side.
Ihra casts a few spells to buff you up, trying to capitalize on the breathing room she's got.


It won't be possible beyond this. Any more water and she'll be trying to fill the entire Void.

She chuckles awkwardly.
"I know it's a bit insensitive, but... it is what you're built for, the way you described it."

And how exactly do you expect to fly up to her perch?

 

The weakest creatures are killed easily, while some of the stronger ones are able to survive or defend against the attacks.


The Nobody seems hurt by this, but continues to attack, surrounding Iris with thorns.

I still seem occupied with my sword battle, the dark cloaked figure seeming to have adapted to the water as much as I have. Ihra notices the elites and Artemis seem to be fighting a dark cloaked figure too, though Ignia seems to have absconded because of the water.


Aqui tries freezing all of the water, to hold everyone still.

 

"Not next to her. Just near her, away from these two."

 

"Sure is."
I nod.
"Well, I should get going. See you later."

 

Emerald just ramps up her assault, hitting everything harder.


Iris shields herself just before the water freezes, her own little bubble of liquid water the only exception to the giant ice cube that is the Void Palace commons.


Everyone within the water is suddenly frozen through-and-through solid. However, Aqui can sense a guard off on the edge of the battlefield working their way out of the ice.

She nods, then waves.

She's still near them, though if you think some distance will be good enough, go for it.
