Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"How so?"

 

"I mean, I get that you'd be able to take it since you're a robot, but... if it happens that often with you, then that's too bad. Your actions don't warrant that kind of treatment, as far as I'm aware."

 

"A-Ah..." Aqui says, nervous.


"I do not need you entirely. We just need to collect enough hearts so we may become whole again." Abigail says, her chakrams doubling in size and speed and cutting into Iris' soul as they fly toward her, Nobodies latching onto them to catch a ride toward her before latching onto Iris' head and stabbing into it.

 

"We should ask her if you put it like that."
He smiles.

 

"Aj, order her or something!" Ihra says, flustered.


"Oh? Last time I checked, I still have half of your soul, and if I'm not mistaken, the one who holds your heart is coming..."
She reforms herself a distance away.

Heh, have you already gotten used to it? It drives me insane.

 

"Oh, it doesn't happen often. It's just that, as a robot, I understand when people are speaking with just emotions, and I get rather desensitized whenever they do. It makes it easier to deal with people."

 

"Oh... yeah, I suppose that would help immensely, except maybe when negotiating with things that hold sentimental value."

 

"Oh please, everyone has their things. You like her too."

 

Of course I like her, we're the same freaking person! It just drives me crazy when she runs her mouth!

 

"Wasn't built for the trade business."
I shrug.

 

"That's part of her personality I guess. She just does what she wants, and running her mouth is one of them. So you just have to get used to it the same way as I did."

 

"Aqui, take control of Gaia!" I command.

Aqui steps into the vines, nervous.


"Oh, she is? Perfect!" Abigail says happily, searching for her missing heart.

The nobodies continue to assault Iris, every one she kills seeming to be replaced by a stronger one.

 

"...That makes me curious. What were you built for? You look like... a human after a torture session, minus the blood."

Heh... no wonder you normally keep me under your skin. You're so much more tolerant than I am.

Aqui's quickly strangled, though once she's dropped, she just gets right back up, like she didn't need to breathe anyways.
Ihra cuts into her arm, and she doesn't even bleed, simply regenerating.
"Great, you're practically immortal. Come on, get going, before Xlentia has her way!"


She can detect Ruby in the library, but a powerful barrier keeps her outside and Ruby inside.

Every nobody Iris kills grants her more and more strength, and as she starts to be able to rip apart even stronger nobodies, she gains strength faster and faster until she becomes impatient and goes after nobodies that aren't actively after her.

 

"Ouch."
I say sarcastically.
"I was built for more of a slave-but-not-a-slave style of thing. I'm a beta version, if that wasn't obvious."

 

Aqui tries charging after Iris and Abigail.


Abigail focuses her power on attacking the barrier as all the nobodies disappear, only to be replaced by a gigantic nobody with some resemblance to Iris.

The gigantic nobody begins pulsing, it's movements like a jellyfish in water as black and white thorns snake towards Iris. The thorns can't seem to be destroyed, but they're rather small, and can be dodged around.

 

They seem too distracted to stop her, though they split. Time to pick one to focus on.


The barrier isn't even scratched, Emerald and Ruby watching her struggle from the safety of the other side.


Iris goes straight for its body, every time she touches a thorn her body reforming where she once stood and her pursuit faster and faster each time.

"You... don't look totally complete, to be honest. I guess that means you were meant to be a servant that would fit in with the other humans?"

 

"Yep. Not me, specifically, but my the ones who came after me were."

 

"Having you out on the wedding is gonna be a drama." He chuckles.

 

Aqui attacks the closest target.


Abigail stops attacking the barrier, staring directly into Ruby's eyes, grinning.

Ruby feels Abigail's heart begin to react.


The giant nobody falls into the floor once hit, before a flash of light blinds Iris. Iris finds herself suspended in the air, her limbs held outward and unable to move or cast magic as she's stuck in the air. The giant nobody eventually rises from the floor, staring into Iris with it's head close.

 

Hey, at least it'll be a day you'll never forget!

"If you don't mind me asking, how'd that go?"

That would be Abigail. Better make a move soon...


Emerald forces Ruby to turn away, Ruby herself clutching her head.


"Come on, you. Don't disappoint me." She taunts.
