Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"More demigods. Fun."

Xlentia's sapphire blue eyes glow in the darkness of the Void. Creatures stir around her.
"Mortal... Tell me your name."

 

"Ok, let's go to the Void Palace."
I start flying towards the east (I think we are still in No Mans Land? Or Brisingr? Idk).

 

"Ahahaha, mortal. That's a funny one." The twilight one says, "The name's Crelucium."

Crelucium flips a coin, "I have a proposition for you, a deal that could help us both."

 

"I'll follow."
You head east from No Man's Land.
(Optional timeskip may be executed by you)

"Crelucium... Tread carefully. You know not the true meaning of death."

 

"Fiesty, I like it," Crelucium says, winking at Xlentia, "Let me ask you a question: Is there a person or persons you possibly want due to actions they have done to you, or items they hold?"

Crelucium seems rather laid back.

 

I pass over a forest. After the forest are some plains. At the plains, I start flying further north towards some mountains.
You can't help but noticing what seems to be a pile of rubble in the direction we are heading.

 

"Any more you could tell us about him? The more we know, the better prepared we'll be if we happen to cross paths."

 

"Your flattery is disgusting. I do, however, seek a staff of a young girl."

"Eras, if I may, what exactly happened there? And why is there a giant... thing... eating the stones?"

 

"Well, he holds the powers of both a Shadow and a Light creature, being able to turn invisible and mimic forms, for example," I say, "He's unphased by light and darkness, making him an incredibly tough opponent to beat. All I know is that only a certain line of weaponry can actually kill him."

I draw Shadow Katana, "Paradoxical Weapons."

"Then it seems we have something to work off of." Crelucium says, holding a hand out to the side. A beaten, bloodied girl, blue hair stained red with blood, appears beside him; falling to the ground.

"Now, now, Katie. Don't be rude. Get up and greet the nice goddess." Crelucium says, grabbing Katie and pulling her up. His hand seems to turn into a claw, which digs into Katie's arm; causing blood to spill.

Katie weakly stands, barely able to look at Xlentia, "H-Hel...lo." Katie says, coughing up blood.

"I'm after a group of people. I managed to get Katie here to spill the information on them. I believe the girl your looking for is called Ihra?" Crelucium says, taking the form of Ihra, "Help me grab Katie's friends, and Ihra's all yours."

 

"I had a problem with a Serpent last time I went to the Void Palace. It weakened the mountains enough so that an explosion destroyed it.
Strangely, there is an area which the rubble can't seem to collapse into. You see some sort of small rocky shrine inside.
"That is the portal to the Void Palace. Oh, and the creature is Maxie, the pet of a demigod."

 

"And what might those be? Also, you say those can only kill him. Can we even hurt him with other weapons?"
I say, standing near Ihra.

 

I give 13 a blank look, "Shadow Katana is one, hence why I unsheathed it when I said 'Paradoxical Weapons'" I say, slightly annoyed.

"Anyway, if you can get the drop on him you might be able to decapitate him, which will severely weaken him. Though, most of the time normal weapons will just phase through him," I say.

 

"Well, what would have to be the requirements of one?"

 

"They're not meant to exist, they're a paradox," I say, "You just sort of...find them, but you also don't; they find you, but they don't find you."

"They completely defy all laws while following them exactly. Shadow Katana is sharp enough to cut a hole in space and time itself, but can't even cut soft butter at the same time." I say, holding up Shadow Katana. It seems a little more purple than black.

"Weapons made from paradoxes hold the power of every element, while not being elemental at all. You don't tend to question it, as there's no logic to it; while it's the most logical thing in existence, which you should always question." Stephanie adds.

 

"Alright."
I think a bit.
"I believe I understand."

 

"I'm glad your head didn't explode. Cuz you know, you're that thing that's affected by paradoxes." I say.

"He's not the terminator, Aj. Or any other sort of robot for that matter." Artemis says, annoyed.

 

"Hah... Yeah..."
I say, nervously.
"And anyways, I managed to solve two of your other paradoxes as well. So you might be able to say I'm a bit experienced."

 

"I'd ask you about the paradoxes, but you don't question paradoxes. What were the paradoxes?" I ask.

"Can we stop talking about paradoxes? It's giving me a headache." Stephanie asks, rubbing her head.

"Shouldn't we be tracking down who took Abigail?" Artemis asks.

"Oh, I think it's the twilight being; Crelucium." I say calmly.

Artemis faints.

 

I look towards Artemis nervously.
"Is her thing with this... Crelucium fellow the same as robots but ten times worse? Or is she just really frightened by it?"

 

"Crelucium is incredibly powerful; as you know. We couldn't actually kill him, only weaken him enough for me to throw him out of time itself." I say, looking to Artemis.

"He's got a very strong end of both sides. Some of the times we encountered him he'd be super friendly and nice; he even apologised for what he'd done and explained that this was his other side," Stephanie says, "I'm even half expecting him to appear on his 'Lunch Break' and introduce himself."

"Unfortunately most of the time he's incredibly evil." I say sadly.

"Incredibly evil." Stephanie agrees, nodding.
