I nod.
“Good. Who is the next god, by the way?”

 

Sivius suddenly senses someone behind him, before being grabbed and having a knife put against his throat.

"Sivius? What are you doing here?" Shadow Stephanie asks, letting Sivius go.

 

"Idhaenna, goddess of the skies and the spectral plane."

He seems to have had a split-clone, appearing behind Shadow Stephanie.
"Wondering what you're up to."

 

Shadow Stephanie appears above Sivius, upside down.

"Hunting." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

“There’s a plan to defend her, yes?”

 

"Who?"

"I wish... we can't do much right now."

 

"Humans." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"I killed her children! I did it! And due to that she made me kill my sibling!"
Some more tears run down his face.

 

"You what?!" Rema asks, shocked. "I thought you were an only child!"

Sivius pauses.
"Well... couldn't you give everyone a christmas gift and hold off breaking up families until after the holidays?"

 

"I'm giving these people the gift of the sweet release of death." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

"If I were to kill one of your loved ones as a gift, would you really appreciate that?" He asks, mostly blunt.

 

“Hm. That’s unfortunate.”
Pause.
“Well, I’m off to see the folk in Maralune. I haven’t seen them in a while.”

 

"I hear they've been doing well. Did you happen to overhear my conversation with Aj?"

 

“A little bit of it. It wasn’t too hard to hear in a completely silent library.”

 

"Pretty much, if you manage to round up a few willing extras, you won't leave all the crumbs to the Hive Master."

 

Those were weird visions. Perhaps they mean something.

I continue to meditate

 

"I thought I was.."
He starts to cry.
"..but it turns out I wasn't."
He looks at Rema.

 

You start to see into the ground, then the roots of the trees as they reach even lower into the ground than they reach into the sky.

She looks worried and shocked.
"Look, I know you're mad, but it wasn't me! I had no idea your siblings were still around!"

 

"I know you didn't..."
He drops his weapon..
"I'm sorry!"
..and drops to the ground

 

She rushes over and rests next to you.
"Hey, hey... it'll be okay... if there's anything a witch is good at, it's getting back at someone, right?"
